The only job I have capable of equipping the Marduk's Jubbah set is Bard, a job I love and enjoy spending time and effort to maximize potential for. I've come to the point where after a few more select items on the AH I will have run out of non-rare/ex gear to obtain so I have been looking into rare/ex gear and Salvage gear caught my attention for possible upgrades. As much as I love trying to maximize Bard I follow a rule that the upgrade must be worth the time and effort spent for me to go after it which has caused me to question whether or not I should try for the Marduk set.
I've looked at each individual piece and perhaps I'm missing something but with the exception of the legs for enfeebling the rest of the set seems overall worthless.
Tiara: With Merits, capped skill, and various AH + Rare/ex gear one can get 547 combined Wind and Singing skill making the +1 skill this piece has over Demon Helm +1 useless, at least for March tiers.
Body: Only 1 more Mind and Charisma over Mahatma Houppelande for 12mil.
Hands: AF +1 hands are better.
Legs: Perfect enfeeble piece, only worthwhile piece in the set that I've seen.
Feet: Suzaku Feet for Stone Skin are better and the +String skill is unappealing.
Am I just missing something or is the only piece worth the time and effort the legs?

Marduk's Jubbah set worth it for BRD only?Follow
Legs and Head are the best pieces for BRD. If you don't need the headpiece then yes, the legs. I have the legs/feet so far and am working on the rest. I actually have the body pieces but probably won't upgrade unless I win the Mog bonanza or something stupid. I have a string build for Horde lullaby for Einherjar so I use the feet for that but yes, more mnd on suzy shoes. The MP on all pieces is nice but not a necessity obviously. I want the headpiece for both SMN and BRD so that's why I'm interested. Also I can't merit skill as those slots are currently taken with ele/enf etc the skill helps me.
I saw a 5/5 Marduk bard using a ring in a merit party once. She had damn near instant cast time; I think her entire build was all haste and fast cast stuff. It was quite a sight.

That'd be nice to have, song casting time is bothersome at times. Think Mixing Sha'ir Manteel with Ebon/Ebur/Furia Tam would produce faster results though? At least with songs, not other magic.
Possibly, but then you lose the goodies from the Marduk Tiara.

That's true, though none of the goodies on Tiara seem useful to me over other pieces. For enfeebling there's Relic Hat, for buffs there's Demon Helm +1 (The +1 more skill on Tiara wont add another tier to March) I suppose its nice for the inventory +1 you get not having to carry around Demon Helm +1 and Relic Hat but 3mil + time invested in Salvage seems a bit extreme for just that.

My mistake, yes, it would depend on your build. But even if we remove Merits and the difficult to obtain +skill gear (Astute Cape/Marching Belt/AF+1) You're left with 502 skill with easily obtained gear which still wont bring you up another tier when you add the +1 from Tiara. This may change as you begin to add a few (but not all) of the harder to obtain pieces of gear as well as adding small amounts of merits.
I'm not sure the exact number of the Evolith Hat fast cast, believe it is thought to be 5%.
Can get -37% Song Cast time with Minstrel's Ring and Manteel and, assuming the hat is 5%, +11% Fast Cast with Hat, Loq. Earring, VNM Cape, and Rostrum Pumps.
