So I got my first pc of Relic gear, Bard Relic Hands, last night at dyna bastok. Ive been goin over the stats and cant seem to find a good reason to wear these gloves, other than maybe to macro in for an evasion set up?
Are these a show pc or am i missing something important?

although an argument could be made for inventory purposes that storing 5 pieces of AF and using very marginally worse gloves is ok.

You have to do that amount of work no matter what. You might as well do it sooner and benefit from the NQ.

actually, with my current gear 2 skill does absolutely nothing for me. i'd need 4 more skill to hit next tier for march, and 7 for madrigal. at the moment, it's not worth any amount of effort at all >o

Fail. You question whether you should even wear your relic, and yet you don't even have your AF. Then what _ARE_ you wearing? There is more than just a 2 skill difference between the relic and AF -- the AF gives you an extra 4 charisma over the relic.

Posted: Dec 17 2008 at 8:22 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) sha'ir gloves for debuffs. even if i had af hands, i wouldn't use them for debuffs anyway, so chr is useless on af hands. i'd take -2 sec recast over 5 skill -1 chr any day, atleast for the stuff i use brd for (mostly merits/assault).

I would assume Sha'ir if not wearing AF or Relic. I mean, AF is still better, since it's nearly the same CHR, plus skill to boot, so better offensively if nothing else...but it's not like Sha'ir is terrible.

They're used for storing the set when you're not playing BRD. Additionally, your Moogle uses them to take pies out of the oven.

Posted: Dec 20 2008 at 11:29 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) well, now you have. i gear my brd pretty well, and i do my best to play it well. however i simply don't see much point in farming up a key for something that doesn't increase my buffs at all, and that i wouldn't use for my debuffs in any of the things i currently use brd for. when the time comes that they would be useful for something, other than inventory -1, then i'll get them.
