Errr, capped my exp >_>! \o/

My BRD is already pretty well done:

Opo-Opo Crown (Why do so many 75 BRD's not have this incredible piece? - The HP and MP alone are godly when subbing a mage job, let alone the +14 CHR before negation when using Pamamas, cheapest endgame food ever!)
Kirin's Osode
Loq. Earring
Goliard Clogs
Joyeuse
Genbu's Shield
Yigit Gomlek
Signed Jesters +1
Omega Ring
Balrahn's Ring
Tamas Ring

Not really wanting for much more, but the Cradle Horn and Rostrums would be nice for my Fast Cast set, as I am always /RDM - It is just far more useful than /NIN in Einherjar and Limbus, due to the AoE spamming. Magic Defence Bonus and Stoneskin with a full MND+Enhancing Magic set keeps me alive a LOT longer, and I can toss out cures, and cast songs in about 3-4 seconds, as oppose to nearly 7-8, which means less time spent around the mobs.

I would love some Haidate though, and I am now at the front of the queue for them if I remember correctly.

Might go for the Swan Bilbo at some point, merely because it looks cool. I am focusing more on my RDM though, and it's Magian Trial (which ironically will be my new PLD sword once it is completed).

Might start boosting my Minuet though, no BRD merits other than Troubadour and Nightingale at the moment, and as I am the event BRD of the shell, might benefit them more for a few little nudges in the AP.

Note that I have the crown, but I can offer several reasons!

1. There's a fetch-quest involved. It's annoying, but not difficult.
2. It's a fine enough piece, but not godly. Having to eat pamamas makes it less attractive to endgame bards using Tav. Tacos/Marron Glace/cookies during events.
3. The stats are easily eclipsed by other endgame gear. Bard's Roundlet/+1 and Marduk's Tiara come to mind, but Zenith Crown also provides the +50MP without the downside of needing to use ancillary food.

It's a question of whether or not money's a factor for you, I guess.

In order of expense while meriting:
/NIN (Shihei/Tav Tacos)
/MAGE (Tav Tacos)
/MAGE (Pamamas)

Opo crown is also pretty old content. Marduk is SHINY. Shiny > all.

This. Maron glace alone gives more mp, let alone after adding zenith/turban. Not to mention unless you have dalm or lolmarduk, you don't get the mp during idle, since vermy prevents you from using a hat. And as he said, relic is better for debuffs.

I don't usually post here because my BRD is usually passed over for people with it as a job focus gearwise, but I did finish capping it's merits in preparation for the next patch (if I'm called to come as BRD for something).

BRD Merits completed

Older screenshot of a few Mordant Rimes in a Greater Colibri merit party. If I get a chance to do one again in the near future, I'll see what effect the Nightingale/Troubadour merits have when it comes to my downtime spent singing.

Marduk Shalwars! The 35 dropped two weeks ago, but it was just last night that I whined to my group enough to do the "wasted" run needed to get the 15s.

15/15 in terms of pieces, but only 4/5 Marduk unlocked. I've got the 3 pieces for the body, but I'm not bothering unless I win the upcoming moogle lottery, since I have Sha'ir manteel and dalmatica and AF+1 body (and a few other things) and I've got my sights set on Morrigans next.

Holy crap! About time! I remember teasing you ages ago over Marduk, I really didn't think it would be so long for you to finish. ; ;

While Jubbah usefulness drops hard against Manteel, it's still a good piece. Morri is definately a hot item, but the stat boosts on Marduk (FC vs SST, HP/MP/MND/CHR) definately makes it a worthwhile piece for those dedicated to their job.

I just capped 80 with almost 7 merits . . . Abyssea alliance on Pachypodiums.

I was also pulling AND calling for that alliance. It took me a little trial and error, and a hint from someone else, but my macro worked out pretty well in the end. While I was standing there swinging mindlessly at the mandies I'd sing ballad to my mages.

I never want to do that again XD Was a bit too much activity for my taste.

KS30 is nice<3

Also, at the 11.82% March tier now, just 1 skill short of 11.91% march tier (can be fixed with a short merit party)

I understand that that's what people say, but I've never seen anything beyond maybe 1 person in the staves thread on BG actually post anything trying to quantify the macc. And iirc, all that was posted was that it appeared that they gave more macc than hq staves. And believe me, I keep up with every relevant thread there. I've finished ice/thunder matk and earth/light macc staves and I'm completely underwhelmed with the macc.

I got my Cradle Horn a few weeks ago! Love it! I've never had a problem with Lullaby resists unless the mob is 100% resistant to Lullaby, but it's nice to have this piece. We've fought Kotan-kor Kamuy 3 times now. I got the horn on the first drop. The group I was playing with let me lot it and obtain it first since I'm only BRD at our end-game events. We've since gone after him 2 more times with no luck on the drop for my friend who has a 75BRD. Hope we can get this to drop soon for her. :)

Cool grats on the horn. Nothing can duplicate what two supercharged marches can give you.

Finished my BRD +2 set. Full set grants you +5 of a stat which generally amounts to +10 DEX. Not bad at all.

As I posted earlier, the body provides an additional 10% duration on buffs and doesn't seem to affect debuff duration at all.

27 takes and this was the best one.

Anyway, finished up my Daurdabla. Brulo and Maere have brutal Colorless Soul drop rates, but Chione can be very competitive. Apadamak pops are 200k-250k on Valefor so that's annoying too. On the bright side, there wasn't too much competition for it when I was trying for it. I was able to brew 6 Apademaks at a time with Sanguine Blade (could have done 7 but I wanted to keep it conservative).

It's pretty badass, although I haven't figured out how exactly to macro it in. Best I can figure is just have a Daurdabla macro that equips it during the 3rd song, whatever that might be.
