What are your main songs?Follow

It's best to party with people who know how to play with a bard around or you have to teach the party how to play with a bard. If you teach people try to group with them again. Most of the US players have no idea and don't have the attention to learn how to play their job around your job so your forced to leave the party or keep 1 set of 2 songs on casters and melee. Can be a bit of a pain till you get 35+ and people have learned the game better. You'll start to see the fun at 25 when you get mp regen.

I use Minuet II/Madrigal on the melee, then run to the back and use Mage Ballad on the casters (and Learned Etude if there happens to be a BLM in the PT, but I seem to never be with one). Then I use Requiem on the mob, and applicable Threnodies. When the battle is done, I bring out Paeon and usually another round of Ballad to speed up healing. This only works if the casters are separate from the meleers, which I usually insist on during the first few battles til they get it right :) I don't know that you would be able to target the main tank only for Minne (that would take lots of practice to avoid getting the other fighters), so I rarely use it.

On macors I have: Paeon, Minuet, Madrigal, Ballad, Learned Etude, Spirited Etude, Magic Finale, Foe Lullaby, Foe Requiem, and 3-4 slots for whichever Threnodies the BLM asks me to focus on (I change it whenever I join a new PT). The other maro buttons are for spells for my sub (Cure I, Cure II, Dia, Paralyze, Bio, Blind, Enthunder, probably some others). When I get to 39 I'll have to make space for a macro for Battlefield Elegy, which will probably replace one of my movable Threnody spots. (I only use one macro set of 20 for my BRD/RDM setup, haven't gotten comfortable with switching macro sets in battle quite yet)
