I just hit 75, and need some info for merits/magian trials. My playstyle is pretty much solo, and some low man events. Not really a big event type of person. Main sub is DNC, dont really use NIN.

For Magian, it seems dual -PDT pet axes, and possibly throwing in 1 double attack+ axe. Although, I wonder, is the Store TP axe plausible/useful since im consistently subbing DNC?

Meritwise - Sic & Reward recast looks good, but im not sure about them and have no idea on the group 2 stuff. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

My play style is probably similiar to yours. What I did, and I'm not saying I did right, was a str axe, an OA2-4x for when I melee with a pet. I also did 2 -PDT and 2 EVA axes for pet only. I started a store TP axe and got it to 85 I think but I seem to be able to WS more quickly with the OA2-4x axe so I stopeed that trial. Plus, those trials really became tedious. Having to WS 800 times or so sucked.

That being said, I've been on a haiatus for a few months and I understand the new expansion brought some really nice axes so what I wrote above may not be worth it anymore.

I'd get the pet: PDT axes... and yeah - you're probably better off with the new AH axes than any of the other axes (until you can get delve/skirmish axes) when it comes to DDing...could be wrong about that but in terms of effort to reward, probably not

But I don't even have DD axes (just PDT) and I do just fine soloing everything I want to to be honest, I don't want to out DPS my pet most of the time. That said when I get the chance I am going to be getting Delve and Skirmish Axes, cause those are boss enough to be worthwhile.
