As everyone knows, you can charm stuff in the new expansion areas and it's prolly better than jugs there.

I had put away my charm set but maybe it's time to remake it (since by now it's gimp anyhoos). Here's what I got, any ideas to improve it?

Main weap: Chatoyant Staff
Strap: ??? (need to look into this)
Head: Twilight Helm
Body: Beast Jackcoat (I need to talk to friends and proly +1 this)
Rings: ???
Feet: Monster Gaiters +2

I'm planning on +2ing AF2 pants, hands and body as well(Having to pause that to get SMN done first since I've been using smn in legion, but that's next): I could shove the trousers in there too. I also need to figure out the spots where I don't know; that's strap and rings. Any ideas, ye old skool bsts?

All I did was pull out my old AF and I bought an Apollo's staff (crazy cheap now). I have +21 charm which takes care of duration and the Apollo's takes care of charming. I'm not sure how important it would be to stack CHR anymore... I honestly barely used any since I got Apollo's back in the day. Anyhow, been on BST a ton so far and haven't had any issues with mischarm or with uncharming. I guess you could try to make an "optimal" set, but honestly it might be overkill... The other baller thing about all this is that 2hr abilities are now 1 hr abilities, so we can have a familiared pet for 30 mins out of every hour!

Monster trousers +2 can be further augmented with Adds "Enhances 'Familiar' effect" via Magian Trial 4997 which enhances Familiar by increasing charm duration to 40 minutes and gives pet haste +10.

Rex; because of storage issues I get the final aug on all my AF2+2. But yeah, that sounds useful.

So you don't need to pile on CHR? that's good. maybe I won't bother with the rings or a strap. Rest I usually carry anyway, well, other than the chat (Which according to eyeball tests works the same as a hq light if you're tight on space and I am)

Maybe I can use relic in it once I finish +2ing stuff too. Most of what I have to +2 has +charm on it too!

I haven't found a need for chr really. I have Angel rings/chat staff/empy pants/some all jobs neck bit I got from WoE with CHR on it, but I've been using my AF gear for +charm duration instead.
