Skadi +1 for all you solo bstFollow

If you are a bst like me, you like to just go out and solo stuff, also you might want alot of that skadi +1 gear.
Well, it takes time. you can farm 5~8 umbrage plans/day for 3 ppl going into salvage....

OR you can get 3 ppl to team up to help each other get in for a solo run each day on salvage.
The thing is BST can solo farm all those plans with little trouble in Arrapago Remnants II. You need to use the trick for 2 players to warp away instead of actually entering salvage, when the dialogue box comes up to click yes, they warp, and you click yes before then compltely disappear.
... but once you are in solo, you get all the gear unlocks.

A bst/dnc will have all the tools needed to go right to a leech mob on the first floor and get the ammo slot unlocked and pet out.
Then its not so hard to solo up thru floor 4 and kill all the NM" which drop plans.

You won't be able to farm any significant amount of alex, but you can spend a ton on mulsums and try to have gooey solo down the NQ version of Khimaira for gear drops.... (frankly I suggst going w/ a more traditional whm, mnk, thf setup for gear farming in neo salvage... but it is doable on solo bst), but its gonna be expensive and difficult.
Yuo will not get any chance at the HQ khimmy on solo bst, but you can take down the NQ. Also, you won't have any shot at farming alex from tiple gears or taking downt he armored chariot in any reasonbly quick time.

but for those bst out there who think skadi +1 might be out of yoru reach, think again. Much of it can be solo'd and it takes about 1 week to solo enough plans for 1 skadi +1 piece.

ha! my mule's bst is only level 50 so far. I should ramp it up!

Floor 1 took me 28 min.
Floor 2 I skipped cuz I really wasn't interested in the bloodshed plan, though collecting it wouldn't really hurt the run unless I go for Khimmy on last floor. I have all the armor drops from the khimmy's so the only point to fighting him would be to hope for a linen drop.

I'm sure your guttler makes the kills faster for you than me. I'm suing ganelon/str combo.. Getting links of blm qutrub can really slow things down... para from ice spikes is nasty when you are worried about an AoE nuke as well. I was about 1:05 min when I pulled the Qutrub NM. woulda had plenty of time to fight Khimmy, but wasn't interested myself.

any idea how few mulsums/pet food you've done Khimmy w/ falcorr or yuly?

solo chariot in 3 min On bst.. I don't think so.
If we could self skillchain maybe.... Start w/ AM3 on aymur and self skillchain might do it.. but really not easy methinks.

I parsed my run also. W/ master focused gear, and familiar, Dipper was doing 40% damage, and I was doing 60%. Guttler would bring a greater advantage to master, but I'll try again to see if falcor+ pet haste is better dd than master focused gear.

I'd recommend self-skillchaining the Qutrub if you can. He takes something like 3x normal damage, so the skillchain does ~9x damage.

How did you do those WS so quickly? I expected there to be a reverse flourish in between... Or you just chopped together the image... Yeah....

Finished farming Skadi +1 armor today. ^^ Since the Salvage update back in December, I've been doing a combination of Original Salvage and Neo-Salvage (had never made any of the NQ gear aside from the feet) - took a little over 2 months from start to finish.

Also: Peryton can burn. That is all!

Pretty interesting read! Got any bloodshed plans while you were at it? How many plans were you usually getting with Th1 pet?

I have no idea how Salvage works, neither old or new, so I ask if I would be able to solo all the old Usu pieces alone and then upgrade through 2.0. How long would it take these days if I can?

Please don't overlook the fact that BST also works well in Salvage as part of a team.

I've been doing WHM + BST (dual box) with a THF friend and it works extremely well, able to kill both bosses with ease often we have 10min remaining after defeating HQ Khimmy. Evis and Ruinator make for some awesome SCs on the Qutrub too!

Not quite, that's what I believe to be the ideal Ruinator set for most BST situations.

Mine is similar though, I don't have Huginn hands and I have a Vulcan's pearl instead of Kokou's at the moment.

Yesterday i shouted for 2 people letting me into salvage (like i´ve been doing for some time now). As usual i forgot to change sub and had to leave after 2 minutes:). I logged out to do some other stuff.

When i came back, i was almost imediatly warped to Mordior (spelling), and a GM started to explain that the development team doesn´t want people to circumvent game mechanics and enter salvage solo. He just gave me a warning, understanding that i was aware of the "circumventive" aspect, but not aware of the fact it´s strictly forbidden.

He also freely admitted that a lot of players are using the exploit and run salvage solo, thus he and his team would take actions against it,

I could write a book about how angry i am and how badly i feel treated as a paying customer (8 years w/o interruption), but i won´t since it won´t change anything.

So......as easy as farming solo in there is, apparantly it´s forbidden, so watch out!
