Hey!
I've been reading alot about Abyssea and I'm currently lvl 90 BST. I got one question though regarding EXPing in Abyssea. Do you enter and just try the camps to get an invite or do you shout in Jeuno or something?
Since Abyssea is time based, entering and having to wait for a party seems like a waste of time. As a rookie at this, how do I start?

Normally I check out the popular exp camps like worms in abyssea la thiene and ask in tell usually or say but shout can get their attention for any vacancies, the alliance usually will invite you quickly as many people will leave and if not full.

All right! Pretty much like GoV parties then? Like the guides say, is it best to save up cruor for teleports at first to be able to get to camps quicker? Can you collect atmas when you're in EXP groups?
Save up cru at first so you can get to camps quicker, and make sure you activate confluxes ASAP. Atmas though, you will have to work for. Some of the best are from bosses, so I hope you got friends. Since I'm a bit wet-behind-the-ears when it comes to beastmaster, I'm sure someone will correct me but ones I've found useful so far are:
Ducal Guard
Raized Ruin
Atma of Vicissitude
Atma of the Mounted Champion
Atma of the Apocalypse
I hope that helps. Check wiki for where those come form, sad to say only one of those you can get from a quest.

another good atma to get that dosnt get the mention it should is stronghold, but the main one once you get use to abyssea is ducal guard. if you are mainly on bst you need to look up some trial of magian axes. Main ones are pet dmg taken, and pet evasion axes.

I've been looking up atmas and the ones you mention seems to be the basic atmas of BST. I recently joined a linkshell that does abyssea and other events so I guess I'll start from there.
Yeah I got the axe from the chest and I'm gonna start building up for the pet:PDT- axes. I still got loads of stuff I want/need to finish like lvl 99 cap (need help with the quest), get ruinator, the zilart missions, cop missions.
I just want to get out of the perle set asap haha. I figured I could get like Byakko's haidate with augments and then use avant cuisses +1 for WS for instance. But first off I need sky :-P

BTW it is possible to solo the ferine set +1 so I can start off with that if I like to play around in abyssea? I got like 100k cruor atm so I can afford to buy the pieces hehe.

I don't think you'll be able to solo your +1 set without at least a couple decent atmas. I would focus on getting a few of the standards to help you out, and then yes, you'll be able to take care of +1 at least a few of your pieces.

Also with a Pet: PDT- set I'm sure it's easier to solo the ferine set. I'm gonna get started on the axes and also the Coup'd Tat helmet that gives Pet: PDT- 10. If some NM's need be fought Pet VS NM I feel that I need both some Monster pieces and Pet:PDT- gear.
