Gear at 75+Follow

Perle set is a great solid set. Its easily available and cheap.

The reason ppl don't want to use it, is all social, not game. BST became a bandwagon job which ppl level for dynamis farming. If you don't care for the job and jsut want to farm and semi-efficient ways, its the cheapest way to go.

Players w/ pride in playing beastmaster don't want to use perle gear because they don't want to be associated w/ the bandwagon bst's.

I was very happy to have the perle gear when abyssea first came out. I used some pieces of it even after I got my ferine gear filled out (until I got some 4% haste gloves actually) so Its a fine set.

some of the Monster pieces would be good also, they are all level 75ish until you upgrade to +2 anyway. They are easy to get from dyna farming.

It may or may not be worth it to you if you don't already have it, but sky god gear is pretty decent with augments and is lv.75 to boot.

the augments which are worthwhile are from synergy. you take a seal from one of them and use synergy to break it into scraps.
those scraps of seals are ingredients in synergy augment recipes. the actual augment is random but from a finite list. so you may have to go thru many scraps, but there are worthwhile augments to be had.
You can also choose whether to keep the new augment or the old augment after each synergy.

I have crit% + on my byakko's haidate.
I'm pretty sure the list of potential augments is on the wiki pages for each piece of gear. either on bg or wikia.
