GoV'ing on BST. My experience in CN.Follow

You understand, I've been mostly leveling BST via the old school (charming mobs, etc)

I was checking a old guide for camps, and it mentioned CN. Now I know, a lot of old BST camps have been kinda sorta messed up by GoV, but I figured, what could it hurt. I'd also gotten a couple levels while bringing a friend some tools in Aby (he was killing a nm and I dinged twice) so my axe was behind. I used the VW warp and went there to see.

Seems like at least CN for a 53 bst isn't quite ruined; there's even a page which if you're careful isn't hard to do (lizards, the walking plants) since all the mobs link. I did die a few times due to links, but I also hit 54 and was able to use the moon rings for my charm set that I got a friend to make (and had a horrible time getting the stones for).

Once, I even ran into someone farming eggs too; asked him to please leave me some lizzies. He was surprised to see someone just leveling the old way,(Well, old-new way since I was using GoV) and was really nice about it. (I also gave him the eggs I had) I'm guessing he was a old skool bst too.

I'm thinking of staying there for one more level for my axe and because I know the pages will still give decent xp. ^^ Even tho the guide said until 54...

Anyway, thought I'd ask; is there any other good GoV camps for BST, so I can plan for the future? I'm hoping to stay the 'foo out of aby as long as I can.

It all depends on how you want to play.

I had alot of fun when GoV first came out, using Whirl Claws on ep mobs, solo. You can do that any level you can have a rabbit pet. The level difference makes a big difference in damage which Whirl claws will do. However, if you want to keep working up GoV pages, bst has TONS of options. Try looking at the Grounds Tome page on wiki for lists of mobs w/ levels.

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Grounds_Tome

Most of them work fine for an old-ish style bst.

I'll take a look and check 'em out. Maybe I can find some decent places to level until 70-75ish or so (which is the plan; Don't wanna go near aby until I absolutely have to)

Also wish me luck on finding gear; Too many people just burn to 99 on Quetz, which means low level gear can be tricky to find sometimes. (Or I have to poke crafter friends for it) I figure, there's a time and a place for aby. ^^

I think around your level the labyrinth of onzonzo might have good pages. Seems like a cool place to level bst. Charm a 73 Torama, familiar it, and slaughter pages, using some pet food to keep your pet alive up until the end.

Do a half hour with a jug pet - or a manta assuming they are charmable like the kraken on Quifim island (don't know if they are) scorpion [F-yeah], and then get your supercharged familiar. Half hour, repeat. The wiki says Labyrinth can go to 70 or so. If this works it actually sounds op and fun.

Maybe the torama would kill the page level? Who knows. I am actually kind of curious how that kind of level difference factors in. I had gotten bst into the 70s or 80s before GoV was really a thing and they changed all the mob levels.
