Bst/dnc bukhis solo... almost thereFollow

Even though I've not yet succeeded, I'm convinced bukhis can be solo'd on bst/dnc.

I bet it could have been done at level 90, although it would be very difficult... ( you need to stay close to stun apocalyptic ray all the time, w/ gerard, you can stun the blizzaga's instead)

Gerard is eating apocalyptic ray after apocalyptic ray and just shrugs it off.

The occasional Zeta biscuit is plenty to keep Gerard alive.

I've made 2x attempts and both have been unsuccessfuly.
The first solo fight I got bukhis down to ~60%. He turned around and doomed me. My holy waters were in satchel...

My second fight, about an hour before maint, I got him down to ~24%. (wasn't the party happy that came to claim it afterwards... a weakened bukhis ready to be finished off...)

I ate 2x ruinous scythe rather close together. I actually could have just gotten out of the way. It was a poor choice on my part.

I wasn't using PDT axes because keeping Gerard alive isn't hard, but keeping me alive is more of a challenge. using richardet's axe and twilight knife I can generate enough tp for it, most the time. you also want to have alot of curative temp items. Save them for when you REALLY need it, not just when your hp isn't full.

It takes a long time. Lithic ray petrifies your pet, paralyga, and bindga are really troublesome. It means pet dps is going to be even lower. Corrosive Ooze makes a huge difference, keep it up as much as possible. Because pet dps is lower, you need to spam snarl as much as possible. you don't want bukhis to turn around to be able to target you w/ tp move. you could lose your cruor buffs, or be doomed.

A smn duo would speed it up quite a bit. However I think I would want smn to BP/release. or make sure they are not dragging bukhis around. Positioning is important. You cannot afford to have to run around and catch an apocalyptic ray.

as it stands now, w/ gerard not having to worry about the doom, you could just send pet only... but gerard's dps is low. There are long stretches (lithic ray) where he won't be doing any damage. ITs already a LONG fight. not engaging would probably make it take at least an hour....

I"m not sure the store tp bukhis has. sometimes he seems to use tp moves very close together. I didn't think I fed him enough for it, so I don't know if going off the tp building weapons would be better or not.

I used twilight knife and richardet's axe because I don't ahve any other tp buidlers. if i had 2x richardet's axes I probalby would have used both.

w/ savior there were also long stretches where bukhis kept my pet hp very high.

I've got a question about your experience with Ruinous Scythe so far. I've duoed Bukhis a couple of time with a smn friend and the first couple of time went pretty smooth, I've only lost 2 or 3 pets to doom in the handful of times I've fought him.

The problem that we had in our most recent fight was that Ruinous Scythe seemed to drop pet HP to less then 100 nearly every time and my pet would get one-shotted on the very next AoE, be it -ga, Ruinous Scythe, or Lethal Triclip.

My smn friend had noticed it as well and commented that his pets were dying much too quickly and I spent most of the fight waiting on call beast timer. At one point I almost threw my laptop when, after waiting for two and a half minutes for timer, I went Call Beast -> Fight -> Ruinous Scythe -> blizzaga III -> Gerard takes 136 damage -> Gerard is defeated by Buhkis -> Cuttysarc screaming and waking up the wife -> wife screaming -> Cuttysarc waits for four minutes on Call Beast timer.

I guess I'm just wondering if you've run into this problem him or if I was just getting continuously unlucky.

A week or two ago I watch a jpn BST solo bhukis with Gerard. She would run in melee a round or two and run back out. Throughout the whole fight she was in control.

If it's still at 30~50% after removing Max HP down, is there a chance it's simply the doom kicking in from a previous Apoc Ray?

I know your HP can go down tremendously, <100 HP isnt unheard of, but if you're positive about the 30~50%, either it's not taking off the max HP down effect, or there's something else killing Gerard.

yeah, there are 2x max hp down effects. the one from lethal triclip is really not that bad.

The one from Ruinous scythe is. Its more important to stun ruinous scythe than anything else. Its not 100% proc though. I was in a group for 9 kills on sunday. There were many times when the max hp down didn't proc on ruinous scythe.

It was pretty discouraging on the solo runs though to have 4x pets all die to the first tp move.

Unfortunately, pets resisting Doom was a glitch, and was 'fixed' in the Dec. 22 update:

you need help. they fixed the bug which made it so death from doom was not proc'ing. It kills the pets now. so bst fight got harder again. Even more troublesome than doom was ruinous scythe which would drop the max hp below 100. Pet will die in next hit.

call beast recast just isn't up to it.

Bukhis could be solo'd before, w/ a bit of luck.

Now I jsut wonder.. is it worth it? I dont' think so anymore.

I calculated that it is quicker to farm 200k cruor for a brew, than to bst solo bukhis, even if it worked. (which it doesn't work well now at all).

Also, w/ primal rend and good atma, I could kill 4x bukhis on 1 brew. Make sure to lot wings inbetween each one, otherwise they will get shoved out of pool and you WILL lose them.

I used atma of the beyond, ultimate and baying moon.
Hell's Guardian, Ultimate and beyond are probably the best atma for bst brew kills on bukhis, but I don't have PW kill.

The thing is, CHR and DEX really don't matter when you are brewing. They will be capped already.

This means you want MAB and Killer Effects.

I found /sam w/ Warding Circle was more effective than /rdm (I had more MAB than killer effects, so KE will be relatively more effective)
I grabbed some demon killer food as well... I don't remember which. Popping an Ascetics Tonic/Drink/Gambir would be great also.

I was doing 35k/rend. bukhis has 120k hp. I lost several wings due to skipping lotting between some kills. The first time I tried for 5x kills... brew ran out after 2 rends on 5th bukhis. Unless you can get Hell's Guardian & hit 40k+ /rend... If you go on Light day and use the atma from Indrik, you might get up there. Pretty sure you can break 60k and 2-shot him if you have all the bst stuff. you would need to lock the brew after each 3 kills to let the spawn points respawn.

I finished it mostly because I hate having my inventory w/ over a dozen alfard's fangs and having the farsha 1/2 finished on bukhis... (and I couldnt' stand to throw them away) but really I don't use it. I have 99 DA Ganelon & 99 STR Astolfo which both trounce 90 Farsha for damage (Ruinator FTW).

I might pull it out for amber farming... if I'm not using my blu for amber farming... and cuz cloudsplitter looks cool.

IF you are in dialogue w/ an NPC your status timers stop. To lock your brew, open the dialogue for a CF, Pyxides, or ??? spot. Pyxides or ??? are the best bets for Bukhis.

Atma of Hell's Guardian Demon Killer
Atma of the Beyond
Atma of the Ultimate
ATma of the Holy Mountain (If you go on Light day only)
Atma of the Baying Moon

These are in order of how good they are for Brewing... I think. I don't know exactly how powerful the bonus is for light day from holy mountain. It would probably be worth it to test that w/out brew first.

I used Ultimate, beyond, and Baying Moon.
Use Ascetic's Gambir, Drink, or Tonic whichever strongest one you have. Use Ferine Gausape +2 and whatever Demon Killer Gear/Food you can. /sam, /rdm, or /blm in that order depending on what you have.

I haven't done Hadal Satiator for a long time, but I do remember supertanking it w/ pet rather easily, so I'm pretty sure Bst can solo it w/ little difficulty. Ducal Guard, Razed Ruins, and whatever the else you have for supertanking. Bst/war can do alot of Red proc ws's f you are prepared for it (skilled up and have the weapons for things like polearm). You'll want to run in and out to avoid the AoE black magic. bst/dnc could probably tear it up faster and stun the black magic, but won't have very many proc's (only 2x dagger procs).

if you don't lot the wings after each kill, you will lose them or run out of time killing bukhis.

I did a quick rough test of holy mountain vs baying moon since its light's day. both w/ 200% tp.

baying moon did 3424
holy mountain did 3218

This was not using brew. I think if brew were active Holy Mountain would win on lights day.

Primevial brew does absolutely nothing for pets.
Dual wield does nothing for brew.
The whole Idea of brewing a tough NM down is to kill alot of them as quickly as possible. You have like 100/tick regain going, so Weaponskills are your absolutely best bet.

None of the stats (str, dex, int, agi, etc...) matter at all for brew, because primeval brew will take them all to 999.

Because of atma and how brew works, Magical Weaponskills have a higher potential than Physical Weaponskills.
The max potential for the best physical Weaponskills under brew is around 10k damage.

The highest potential for magical Weaponskills under brew is around 65k damage (Wildfire, corsair, and bst can get this high in perfect situations also).

The way the magical and elemental damage boosts work, you pick your atma for exactly 1 weaponskill and spam it as quickly as you have tp.

Since brew maxes stats, your main ways of boosting damage from gear are to focus on Killer Effects and MAB. Nothing else will make a big difference.

Cloudpslitter can do more damage than Primal Rend if you have it from WoE weapon. Otherwise, w/ a magical ws it really wont' matter what weapon you use. for a physical ws, you would want the highest damage weapon you can get.

heya has anybody tried out the new cursna and holy waters rings yet on bukhis and are they worth getting right now they pretty cheap on my server i like to no am hoping these rings will help out on this fight still pretty tough for duo?
