Lv58-61, 4-6 bst charm DC-EM Rabbit`s
Send them Vs Raptor, easily 4-6k/h at almost 0 risk

chain 4 easy for high number`s.

59-60 is preferable as lvl 61 noticible xp drop but still quick.

Another one of my "can be done 1 level earlier posts". Went ahead and looked around here after dinging 54 in Bostineaux Oblahblah since I got sick of the competition for the camp there. It ended up going extremely well. The key is trying to find a DC Aspic somewhere, which I was able to do. DO NOT fight the Skeletons at 54, most will still be IT and not worth the hassle. Stick to bats, which there should be plenty of. One note, I had quite a bit of accuracy gear (didn't eat food though). All the bats will be VT at 54, so if you don't have much accuracy gear, at least eat some sushi otherwise you'll will probably whiff more than you'd like.

BTW, this really needs to be corrected, you want to camp near the Windy Walls entrance. The Horoturo Entrance is where all the lower level mobs are and is a helluva long way away from the Impish Bats and Craver mobs.

I noticed the same problems as Seuca had with Newton. The Goblins and Moblins there seem way stronger in proportion to other monsters of the same level. I usually end up swapping at least twice before joining in. Having only two pets in a camp is kind of rough, too. You usually end up waiting for one of them to heal before you can charm and fight again. When you go to pull, the gobbies and... er... mobbies are so tightly packed, you WILL get links more often then not.

However, with some practice, I was able to start getting chains. And, the best part is, nobody else is ever there! Don't engage until your gobbie is at about 1/3 health, and you have a fresh bat on it. Do what you can to avoid aggro. I was getting hit for 150-250 per strike. Because of that, I never released until I had full tp, since a few misses on my part ould mean I would be pretty dead.

On reflection, though... I think this would be a much better place to go at a lower level with a duo then at 65+ solo. Maybe at 63-64, since you'd still have EM bats if you convert them. Grab the bats from the other camp to use as spares, and try to keep them at your campsite.

Above all, don't let your pets die! Jug pets don't really last all that long (If you're lucky, Carrie just MIGHT last long enough to /pol), and you don't want to drag your prey through a clump of linking gobs to get another pet.

I have been having a difficult time at level 65 leveling, seeing as my duo/trio partners have passed me out by a few levels because I haven't been able to play much because of work. So I have been looking around for alternate places to solo. I'm not sure if this has been posted before, if it has, please forgive me in advance. I have had good luck, and luckily no deaths, leveling in Toraimarai Canal at level 65. Camp area is by the stairs leading to the Starmite area. If you haven't been there yet, when you enter from Windy Walls, Sneak, and take a left and stay along the left-hand-side going past the bats and Mindcraver/Fleshcravers. Go down into the waterway where the Stygian pugils are and follow the waterway straight. When you enter the large room with pugs/crabs/scorps, keep going straight and enter back into the waterway. Take a right, then another right and their should be some stairs on your right, with a few Doom Soldiers/Mages and some bats. Turn around and there should be a passage on the other side of the waterway. Follow this short passage and you'll enter a room with Skele's and Bouncing Balls. In this room there are 2 sets of stairs leading up to the Starmites. There are 2 Dire bat spawns on each set of stairs. The Dire bats have always conned DC for me at 65. Now you can just grab a EM Starmite if one is there, and pull 1 of the other 4 Starmites in the room(usually Tough) and get pretty decent exp. Only problem with fighting the Starmite vs. Starmites is their **** EVA boost and STR down weapon skills. Had my EM die a few times because me and him just couldn't connect for enough DMG. If that happens, you can always grab a Dire bat to help finish off the Starmite. Alternately, the better mob to fight would be the Skeletons in the room at the bottom of the stairs. This room has 2 Doom Soldiers/2 Doom Mages(65-67, most conned Tough with an few EM here and there) and 4 Bouncing Balls(leeches, also 65-67 I believe). You can either grab a Starmite and Sneak past the Dire bats, use a Dire bat, and when it's getting low on HP, Leave it and grab one of the other 3 Dire bats on the stairs, or if there are some there, grab an EM Bouncing ball. Careful, because if the Bouncing ball resists Charm, it very well may link with 2 or 3 of the other Bouncing balls there. Also, you can always convert the Tough Balls there and hope they re-spawn as EM's. I would usually Charm an EM ball, send it at a skele, and stand back at the bottom of the stairs and let the ball get the skele to around 50% HP, leave it, and grab a Dire bat on the stairs to send at the skele, and melee next to the bat. Make sure that when you melee either pull back to the stairs leading up to the Starmite area, or down the stairs leading back towards the waterway area, so if your HP goes into yellow you don't aggro any other skele's. If you want to play it safe, let the Ball get the skele down to 30% and either melee with the bat, or just take the exp cut so you don't have to worry about HP aggro. Anyways, good luck, I hope this may work for some BST's that are finding it tough in Cape Terrigan, Gustav Tunnel, or Upper Delkfutts ********** PT's camping on stairs).

Ok, so I've been leveling beast a bit lately and I found another alternative XP area for young beasts at around level 22-24. Not sure if this'll work for everyone, but here's what I did:

In Meriphataud Mountains, head like you're going to the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah. The zone to Zi'Tah is located in the very north east corner of Meriphataud around (K-4) and (K-5).

Alternatively, you could try the two couerl spawns at (D-6). Not sure how well that would work out, however, as there's a lot to watch out for. If you head to (D-6), bring some silent oil and prism powder and watch out for the Evil Weapons and Goblins!

What to fight: Couerls (Lv. 22-25)
What to charm: Stag Beetles (Lv. 20-23) or Crane Flys (Lv. 18-21)

When I went here at level 22, all of the Couerl conned Tough to me. All of the flies were Decent Challenge, and the beetles were Even Match and Decent Challenge.

For the reference, beetles can take down Coeurl very easily. Beetles hit hard and are wonderful tanks too. The only problems I can see that Couerl do like to spam paralyze. For those with white mage sub, its not that big of a deal. :) If a fight does turn bad, however, remember that the zone to Zi'Tah is close. As another side note, there aren't any mobs to truly watch out for. Not besides the Couerl themselves, and they're fairly spaced out. At night, a Scavenging Hound may appear (Lv. 18-25) but somehow, I don't think these will be much of an issue. I'll have to test it and find out.

Basically, if you can find this area empty, I'd recommend this over just about anywhere. You'll be in for some fun xp and loot. On Ramuh at least most of the drops go for 13-14k per stack, hides for 2-3k each. What's more, they also sell very very quickly as couerl products are needed for a lot of different crafts. In general, this is very good lowbie farming place. And if you're getting xp too, why complain? :)

Oh, and if you've leveled cooking at all, save the couerl meat. You can make some yummy Pet Food Zeta from these. Here is the recipe:

Cooking (59): Earth Crystal, San d'Orian Flour, Lizard Egg, Coeurl Meat, Distilled Water

Happy hunting!

I highly doubt you can kill lv47 Gobs with using lv41 Crawlers, this sounds like playing Roulette to me, that is, the moment you get your first mischarm (which will usually happen in 1 out of 5 cases, even with +10 Charisma gear) you are chased by a VT Goblin as well as DC Crawlers, they link so easily, guaranteed death.
Nevertheless the camp is usually already taken by another BST, when I try to go there, although most I asked how things were going they say they died 10 times already - they usually say that. The level gap between lv41 pets and lv47 gobs is just too high, and also Crawlers don't possess any TP moves that could
turn a battle (unlike Spiders' Sickle Slash or Dhalmel's Healing Breeze). Yuhtunga H-11 is too risky:)

But risky is what BST is all about. ;)

I've taken a couple of trips here and the xp was awesome. Of course you're not gonna kill a 47 gob with a 41 crawler.. but there are plenty of crawlers to swap out. I was able to take down IT+ gobs using DC and EM crawlers. The crawlers actually hold up pretty well against gobs here (if you stick to Poachers only which is about all you'll find in this area)

A problem area that I personally ran into was my first trip to Garlaige Citadel at lvl 40. Most of the bats here were Tough with only 1 or 2 EMs scattered about. I charmed an EM and waited for the right moment when the skellies were far enough apart that I could pull one into my room without linking the other. That worked fine but unfortunately, my bats couldn't hold up to the skelly and the only other bats in the room were all Toughs. Rather than risk a mischarm, I attempted to finish it off myself while spamming cures to keep my hp up. My mp pool ran dry though and as soon as my hp went orange.. the other skelly came running.

It was all over after that. ; ; I have a feeling that I'll have to just let my pets do all the work and avoid meleeing at all costs.

At level 34 I was fighting Efts vs. Efts in Bibiki Bay down at the Manaclipper beach. The Efts link but you can pull them to the dock in front of the NPC where no other Efts spawn. There are about a dozen or so Efts and one Goblin Shaman (DC-T at 34) that pop here within a very close radius, so you don't have to go far for pets or prey. I was able to get chain 3 and 4 almost literally non-stop, and by the time you are done the first ones have respawned.

At 35 there aren't as many Ts to get good exp off of, but you can start moving from the beach to the upper level and charm dhalmels, efts, and rabbits against each other and Ravens, which are probably more trouble than they are worth.

Found this to be false the 1st time i went. Gob Robbers would blow themselves up for 450 damage for some easy 360xp which was great, went from 40-41 very quickly. In the open area (which usually has tunnels to it guarded by a robber and a crawler) is filled with poachers, crawlers and robbers. I even charmed some Ts safely in an emergency.

Went back the next day sent crawler on to IT robber and cast dia (which seemed to make the gob bomb drop quicker), instead i got too much hate, the DC crawler just couldnt grab hate off me, died. reraised stupidly and died seconds later, deleveled, with no reraise and hp back to jeuno. set off again sending a DC wasp onto a T poacher, realized entrance to grassed open area was covered by gobs so ran back and mischarmed on a T crawler, died again.
Summary: logged on for 20 minutes.
lost 1500xp if the gobs kill themselves its awesome xp, if they dont it can be tough for DC crawlers to take hate back since you'll need a few. Not sure if this is the H-11 that is being talked about behind the outpost. i found nothing behind the outpost, and H-11 was some long narrow passages which dead ended.
I recommend this place, but ugh.. not anymore.
so i can totally verify the riskiness of this place.

Just a little bit to add about Eastern Altepa Desert, the desert that keeps on giving ^^ .

There's a small pocket at the centre of the map, roughly the left-hand side of G-8, where several Flesh Eaters (levels 38-42) spawn at night and three or four DC-EM* beetles spawn alongside. Worms being their usual feeble selves, you can take one out with one or two DC beetles. Other than one scorpion here which can be easily worked around, there's no anticans, sabotenders or other aggroing mobs to worry about.

*I only found this area at 38, but if you can get lucky or convert the beetles, you should to use this area a little earlier.

I'm suprised so many people recommend to the fight the Hill lizards in the dunes. Petrification is one of the worst banes I have experienced while XP'ing (and links). Paralyze,Rasp,-ga spells, nothing compared to finishing off a mob at <20% hp and getting petrified. I know there are worst things, but petrify is extremely dangerous to any soloer.

My tip for fighting worms:
If your pet is about to die,try to stand as close to the worm as possible while youre going for that second charm. This way, the worm will only melee strike you. Even as a taru, the damage from the melee was much more acceptable than getting Bound/stonega'd/Rasp'd in any combination. Each melee strike from the worm was about 20 dmg, stonega's would hit for 55+ dmg.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone tried KRT? <.<

I notice the Dire Bats are charmable in the 60's, and it seems that the bats vs. bats or worms might be doable at those levels. If I missed something or if someone has an experience, let me know; I might try this myself once I get to the right level.

So what I really came here to say is that the Guide is no longer relevant for Ulegerand Range from 66-69. Apparently when they nerfed mob locations in certain areas a few months back, this was an area that took a hit. Wanted to let people know because it is royal pain to get to this camp and the risk of death is high since you have to run by true sight mobs. It's a major disappointment to get here and find that there are VT Doom Mages and VT Nightmare Bats. No Polar Hares to use as pets anymore.

Lvl 66 sucks for locations. Yes there are plenty, but none of them are too great. I haven't tried Boyahda Tree or SSG because there is usually a BST or 2 at my lvl there so I don't venture out there. Bostanieux Oubliette is a litte rough fighting the Bloodsuckers too. Links are a HUGE problem and the exp wasn't all that good, and I never could finish them off fast enough to get a single chain. I just sucked it up and went back to grind it out to 67 in Cape Terrigan.

I thought it would be worthwhile to mention that in addition (or more likely instead of) fighting the Fleshcravers and Mindcravers in Toraimarai Canal, a better target is the Scavenger Crabs in the large room @ F-10. You need to charm a Dark Aspic and pull it to the stairs just before the room. Then release and recharm, cast sneak, and go out and pull either VT or T crabs. To ensure your safety keep a stack of Pet Food Zeta on hand, and be sure to Sic your pet every time the timer expires. You also need to fight alongside your pet for most of the battle, using your TP as it fills up. Exp from the crabs hits the 250 cap for this level range, but it's nearly impossible to chain them because of their high defense and life. I was still pulling in roughly 2-3k an hour, with not one close call. Just thought it would be helpful, since Garlaige can become crowded at these levels.

I think this would be a prudent time to remove this guide and begin a new sticky.

I propose that we link the new sticky to this thread and keep the 1-35 part of the guide and start afresh.

Not sure if the OP is still updating this thread, but perhaps this weekend I will start a new thread.

I second that motion. We all know the bomb camps will probably all still be viable and Bost Obl is essentially worthless now.

Actually, it's not too bad in Bost Obl (sp?) because there are 2 slimes not that farm from the zone to W. Ronfaure. Sure they'll despawn when you hit leave, but it beats running all the way back to where you drop down.
