Just scanning the posts I see you did some kick **** leveling, but dang your quote makes me laugh cuz I use "Leave" so much less now. Pre patch it was mandatory to use "Leave" to save 30% xp hit, then you "Rampage" and your mob is still alive(Oh Crap!) where is my old pet? oh no it dissappeared... "Call Beast" and CC appears Yay! but its too late your mob continues to beat you to a pulp and you bite the dirt. While now... "Leave" is used not so much, primarily when its convenient :D
Congrats on 75~
Yes I have to agree that old-timers like yourself have it tougher with the EXP Penalty before this recent patch. T_T
Here are some uses we have for Leave:
When all mobs in the area checked T and above, we charmed T mobs, run a distance and use Leave, praying hard repop will be DC-EM so we can Charm as Pets.
If there are a number of potential Pets about, with Leave, we do not have to Heel -> Stay to kill our Pets towards the end of a fight. Neither do we have to wait for Charm to wear. We can now just Leave our surviving Pets and Charm new ones.
If there are not many potential Pets about, we will attempt to rest our surviving Pets to full HP. Using Stay to regain our Pet's HP is sometimes too slow. We run back to the area we got our current Pet from and use Leave. Pet's HP goes up very rapidly. When Pet's HP is full, we Charm and re-use the Pet.
Whenever we have been running around with our EM Pets for a couple of minutes or more, we will use Leave and Charm to reset the Charm Duration of our Pets before starting a fight. We are quite wary of Pets becoming uncharmed halfway in fights, especially when we are targeting VT~IT range mobs.
When we get links or aggro, we will Leave our current Pets and attempt to Charm the links or aggro mobs.
#1~#5 is really making our post-35 leveling a whole different (and easier) kind of experience.
