Supposedly the Wide Scan range gets bigger at lvls 20 / 40 / 60.

As for charm times, I cannot say for a lvl 75. But, in Shakrami Maze, I can charm a lvl 26-28 Maze Scorpion (Easy prey) at my lvl of 31 bst / 15 whm for just over 10 minutes.

I do notice that when I play my Ranger job, that even at lvl 1 the wide scan has much more range than BST's wide scan.

Do the two scans stack, ie, view a wider area than normal if you had a BST and RNG combo (whichever order).

u said that It suppose to get Bigger at 20/40/60 ... does it jump the range or does it slowly get bigger wit other lvls aswell ? like for not my scan range is less then a Square on the map will it jump something like 2/3 squares when I reach 20 ?

and How come I cannot see Stuff like "???" or players on the map when I scan ? is there a Setting for that ? I know I can see NPCs when i m close to them or am in Town(where my Scan Range is Much like Rangers Scan range).

I think it will just jump in size at those lvls.

The widescan ability is accessed via the map. :)

And no, you can't see anything on it except for mobs, NMs, and NPCs.

Is the map live, meaning, do I have to keep pulling it up to refresh it...or can I just stare at it till something pops up?

I'm fairly positive you need to refresh the map. Monsters will not pop up on it.

Silly question here, but how would I go about using remote scan? Is there a level requirement for it or something? whenever I try to use it, a flashing white circle appears on the screen, but nothing happens when I use it...I'm probably just missing something obvious here. Thanks in advance.

Remote Scan merely focuses your Wide Scan on a certain area. You must use it on an area within your Wide Scan range, and your scan will ignore everything outside of the circle.

It's more useful when you get the beefy high-level scans, and you don't want to pull up everything in the zone.
