Ranged weaponskill adjustmentsFollow

Kinda doing this cause I hate seeing this particular topic so inactive, but now that they've adjusted how far away you can be from mobs to use the majority of ranged weaponskills on them, do you guys feel that it was a much needed change, or did it really not impact things enough to really be groundbreaking for the job? I know the most groundbreaking thing that they could do would be to reduce the penalty on double weakness (if not remove it completely) but I still see this as a rather significant boost to both it and Cor, and I'm curious what everyone else thinks.

Well, to be honest the change was definitely needed if you ask me. Been playing around with it the last few days since the update and while Ranged WS distance is still within AoE of anything that can kill you it's a lot better than before. Now whenever I want/need to WS I only need to take 2~3 steps forward instead of taking 5~6. As someone who uses RNG as his VW job and jumps in on WoE in the mornings during JP primetime when nothing is going on my chances of dieing have been cut down by a fair amount do to just attempting to run back out of distance due to a badly timed TP move.

While this would be nice, I'd still rather have reduced enmity on ranged attacks personally. (No I don't have Annihilator)

I went RNG to Kaggen last night and it was a god send being able to stay largely out of AOE range and still hit my WS. Especially when Archery proc came up.

I just wish that they'd remove the distance penalty on WS damage so you don't have to fuss so much with the sweet spot in these fights.
