As the title suggests, I'm a returning player and I've got a few questions about the new turn the game has taken. I stopped playing pretty much the day they released the patch with the level cap being raised to 99.
Over the last few weeks though, I kept thinking about the game and wanted to give it another shot for a bit. I was just wondering a few things, specifically about Ranger.
For instance, I have a few jobs at 75 and I don't know if I really want to level any of them further, or just take the game slowly and level up some jobs solo.
However, if I did find myself wanting to level up, what kind of gear would I be needing? my setup right now is...
main: Kriegsbiel/Fire staff/light staff sometimes...
offhand: francisca
ranged: Selene's, othinus', loxeley for the lulz
head: O.hat, scout's beret, wyvern helm
neck: chivalrous chain, ranger's necklace
earrings: drone/drone
body: Scout's jerkin
hands: Seiryu's Kote
rings: Rajas/sniper, sniper
back: Amemet+1
waist: Jungle Sash
legs: loljaridah -_-
feet: savage gaiters, genbu feet for holy bolts
Basically, I'd like to know some gear I should look in to buying or perhaps getting some drops? Nothing too hard, that takes like 12 people, or am I pretty much screwed there?
Another question I have is, how hard is it to level from 75-99? Did they make it not too bad, or did they make it a huge time sink?
I'm also wondering if things like Sky and dynamis are still done regularly? Can a pair of level 99's go in and just sweep the whole place? or did they impose a level cap or something else to keep it still challenging?
Another setback is that WotG is the last expansion I got, so I don't have any of the 'mini expansions', although if it comes to be 100% necessary and I -do- want to pursue the content, I have no problem with getting them.
Thanks in advance for any and all help, it's all very helpful :)

I'm only about a 6 month old RNG, so take it how you will, but I did do quite a bit of research and I think my setup isn't too bad for lack of endgame availability.
1. Gear - I was using a Selene's too, get a Siege Bow. Better than E-Bow and the NM, Chukwa, can be low manned very easily with mage jobs and RNG (my set up was RNG, BLM, RDM). Bow can drop either really often or be a bitch, but most times it's the former. I only had trouble getting mine cause I always got out lot on pick up groups. I'm also pretty broke so I TP in Scout's Beret for Recycle and WS in Wyvern. I plan to ditch the Wyvern when I get AF3+1 Hat. Aurore Doublet beats out Scout's Jerkin with 1 less RACC but 4 more STR and AGI. Denali Jacket is also very nice and free, but aim for a Kosode. Grab Quiqrin Collar, otherwise keep using RNG's neck. Legs, use AF3+1 when you get them or Aurore Legs are decent too. Feet, try to grab Relic feet. Rings, Keep Rajas but I prefer to use the pure RACC rings (e.g. Behemoth Ring). If you melee for TP you can always just macro in snipers, but don't think it's worth it unless you have something like a KC.
2. Right now we are at level 85, not 99. Next level cap increase is sometime in December and unsure how much more it will be raised during that update. Though to be honest, most endgame is now a joke at 85. AV is getting regularly beaten, lots of things can now be reliably low manned, Nyzul Isle is just a joke now. The biggest problem you will encounter is getting the people you need with the correct jobs and who still actually want to do the old content. I've been trying very hard to get a sky ls to sell S kote and/or W-hands but all the responses are the same: "We don't do Sky anymore." Dynamis is still very active, although currency is now quite a bit tougher to sell. More LS seem to be opting into funding relics from what I've seen.
3. Concerning the mini-expansions, at the very least get Scars of Abyssea. This way you will have access to EXP camps and AF3 gear which are arguably better than a lot of previous end game gear. I do strongly recommend getting Visions too, a lot of nice gear (Siege Bow) and atmas (Atma of the Stout Arm, Atma of the Drifter, etc) are obtained from these areas.
