Please don't show up with a voyagers sallet, full jaridah, an Mkris, /nin and melee with 1 dagger, get TP the same as the full ranged attack rng and do 500 dmg sidewinders while the other rng is doing 1k. K thanks.

Don't even get me going on the drg/dnc doing 300 pentas....

Or the drk/nin dual wielding axes and eating meat...

or the war/nin in courage rings and 4/5 war af /nin dual wielding axes and eating meat....

or the drg/nin using double thrust...

the gimpness never ends.

I dont expect you to be geared like me. Vulcan's, mythril +1/Hawker'sX2, Vali's bow,AF head, Pcc, Drone/Vision, AF Body/SHikaree, rajas/carapace, Jaridah hands, Thunderer's mantle, Volant belt, Jaridah legs and feet. I do expect you to not be a complete moron though. Thanks!

I read your **** on the THF forums, and I'm not impressed.

I don't blame you for not parsing, as I don't either (PS2 to 360 player). But the manner by which you drew your conclusions there lend you no credence here.

Just leave.

News flash, there's this thing called level sync that allows you to sync down to lower levels to xp, but when it's active you don't get any combat skill ups, and when you spend a lot of time at low levels your level goes up, but your skill remains painfully low and you don't have access to the ZOMGWTFBBQAWESOME WSs the first few times you sync to a higher level.

And bravo, you've seen crappy players at work. Join the club, we were formed back at the start of the NA PC beta, we have T-shirts. You can't take two steps in FFXI without stepping on a player that doesn't know what he's doing, has sh*tty gear, or just plain sucks. People have been **** about it for years. How about instead of coming here and **** to the people who ALREADY KNOW BETTER, you send a friendly /tell to the people you think suck with some friendly--FRIENDLY--advice on how they might improve their gear and play style?

Edit: PS - At lvl 55 some of the Jaridah set is pretty good for RNG, just FYI.

Regardless of whether some RNG you partied with sucked, when meleeing with a multihit weapon, pairing it with a dual wielded single-hit weapon actually slows down total TP gain.

I'm not saying ANYTHING about whether it's good for a 55RNG to use an M.Kris. But if a 55RNG WAS to do so, doing it right would consist of:
(a) Not dual wielding
(b) Having a really good WS build in order (since your damage gets skewed greatly over to WS, it's quite important to focus on WS gear).

Your complaint fails.

It is impossible to eyeball the difference between hitting for 80% accuracy and 90% accuracy, unless you're talking about a sample size of 10 hits...

You mentioned beating other THFs all the time in other threads. You mentioned beating other DDs in this thread. You are the one making baseless claims.

Newsflash. Penta is lvl 55, we were lvl 56-58, still used double thrust the whole time.

News flash **** you didn't even bother to finish reading what I said. And if you did, you're obviously too stupid to understand it. let me spell it out for you in purple crayon because you appear to have the mental capacity of a four year old. I said that when you sync LOWER your skill is gimped. you STILL HAVE TO LVL IT once you sync HIGHER. It doesn't automatically go up just because you're synched to 55 you **** moron. If your skill is 70 lvls under cap from syncing to 35 in ronfaure_s and then you finally get a 55 invite, you're going to be pounding away for DAYS before your skill is up to cap. if you're so **** retarded that you don 't know that you should **** quit this game now because you are too stupid to play it.

And if you were wearing 3/5 jaridah yourself at that level why in the **** were you calling him down for wearing it too?

News Flash, you are a hypocritical idiot. Do the world a favor and kill yourself.

Like I said, maybe this RNG really sucked. But the logic of your complaint certainly does fail. All other gear being equal, M.Kris stomps /ra for rate of TP gain (and /ra stomps M.Kris for damage done while TPing). An M.Kris RNG with anything close to capped dagger skill and halfway decent melee accuracy (with 5/5 Jaridah @55 that's not a terrible start) should be able to WS more often than a RNG shooting for TP. Maybe this RNG you speak of was holding TP instead of shooting right away, maybe he had completely gimped dagger skill, maybe you're exaggerating things.

Also, an M.Kris user going /NIN instead of /WAR isn't necessarily gimping themselves - in fact, I'd say /NIN is probably the wiser choice. Utsusemi still helps a lot, and with frequent WS it's not unlikely that the RNG would pull hate and need to take a couple hits sometimes. Eating a Pecking Flurry as RNG/WAR isn't exactly something you want to be doing a lot of. You don't HAVE to make use of dual wield to make /NIN potentially useful - just ask a [pick one: MNK, SAM, DRK, DRG, PUP, G.Axe WAR, Shield/Sword PLD] who's subbing /NIN for whatever reason.

penta thrust, for drg, is obtainable at 49, not at 55. THAT is why the drg in your scenario fails, not because his skill was 5-10 points behind but because it was 30+ points behind.

jaridah has very good stats for 55 especially if you happen to be meleeing (like with an mkris) and using ranged attacks.

oh almost missed this one.

rampage, which drk dual wielding axes would get at 56 (the level you were partying), is a much better weaponskill than any scythe weaponskill before level 60.

he would probably do even better with a gaxe spamming shield break but thats a different argument.

To me the bottom line is:
What xp/hr were you getting?

If it was good, does it really matter if the RNG was doing things a little non-conventionally?

Single wield M Kris -> WS-style of play can be done well. And I find it hard to believe and 55 RNG was landing 1k SW accurately without a BRD or COR in the party. There just isn't enough STR gear out there at that level and even if there was, RACC would be in the toilet since Colibri are pretty evasive. Protip: a consistent 95% accurate 500 dmg SW is superior to the 50% accurate 1k SW in most situations (nothing **** a puller more than expecting the RNG to kill the mob and come back with the mob stil at 30% health because of missed WS's)

Not only that but the low 50's are dual viking territory giving the drk +20 accuracy. The 50's are about the best levels in the game for axes thanks to being able to eat meat and maintain good acc, OP is an idiot.

That is my opinion as well. If you are going to do that playstyle, level COR or any other melee job. I'm just saying that you can do reasonable damage with that playstyle and certainly keep up with a lot of Pick up group players.

My major point was that it really doesn't matter how you and the rest of your group parsed if you made good xp. You can still have fun in the game and not get the pimpest xp/hr.

I've been in parties with outstanding xp/hr that i didn't enjoy near as much as the parties with good xp/hr. We all hate the Fail parties. But sometimes going **** crazy on mobs just burns you out.
