People are stupid paying that much for a weapon that's not always our best choice and has less versatility.

We've all been there, suck it up.

If you've got spare assault tags I recommend farming floor 40 boss in Nyzul Isle repeatedly with a focus on finding Eastern Shadow. I got my bow from floor 40 runs and he seemed to pop up at least once (sometimes twice) every 3 runs we did. My group is probably around 1/15 on appraising the item properly, but I know two other nyzul statics who have appraised it and none of us have spammed 40 a whole lot over the course of my 2 years doing it. Consider the drop rate on the actual NM appears to be about 10% and going 1/25+ in Nyzul doesn't even seem that bad.

Things like this have a tendency to screw you over when you actually want something out of it. For example we've gotten 8 askar korazins (switching some members in and out) 4 denali jackets and have yet to see a goliard saio out of floor 80... and we've done floor 80 around 100 times now. Of course to complete the original wish lists for my static members we need this one Goliard body to drop. All bad luck aside, at least with focusing on something in nyzul you have potential to get other nice stuff. Western Shadow and Valkurm Emperor can also pop in the floors you'd need to do as well as any potential floor 40 boss drops and weapons. If you waste your time camping the NM and get nothing you just lost all of that time for nothing.

The BCNM seems like a decent option, but the drop rate is horrifically low and most people don't have the seals in reserve to spam it enough to boost their chances. There are some other decent money making drops in the Brothers BCNM though so it could be worth your time as well anyway.

I believe the E-bow increased in price, becuase people are augmenting them. I got my E-bow back when it was 2mil

I don't really have any sympathy either for people who insist on camping the drop when they could have farmed and made enough to buy the drop 5-10 times over, so... guess it works both ways!

At the time I had about 50 million gil, but that wasn't the point. I wanted the Rare/ex.

I understand your argument, but when NMs are as ridiculous (both in pop conditions and drop rates) as Argus or the Shadows, especially when someone like Lobi can go 1/60 on Eastern, it still makes so much more sense to just fork over the gil or, even better, do the Brothers d'Aurphe BCNM60.

It's one thing to achieve something, but really, should it really take two months to do it the hard way?

I'm upgrading Mandau and planning to upgrade Yoichinoyumi after that so Eastern Shadow was nothing to me. If I couldn't handle that I'd certainly never be able to finish a relic.
