If I want to be a ranger and dont want to be a girl what the best race hume or elvaan? I will be looking at growing up as a warrior/theif but once I reach 30 i want to become a ranger/NIN or ranger/warrior.. so my question is will I be better off at high end game with a hume or a elvaan. take in to consideration when i say high end game dont take equipment in mind due to the fact that it will be end game and i will have the best avalible.. basily thinking about which race will be less injured by starting stats and home nation?

Well, it doesn't matter as much as you think (RSE armor, etc. help stats) but you'll be better off as a Hume than Elvaan. Elvaan tend to do more dmg (higher STR) but Hume tend to be more accurate (higher AGI). Either way, you won't really go wrong. Play what you want.

Go with elvaan because not only you look cooler, but you also have more HP. The extra strength don't really do that much. Base stats don't really do that much so race consideration isn't as big of consideration as equipments.

It's wrong to not take into account of equipments. There are a lot of great items that are rare/ex that most ppl don't even know about. And even if you do, it's very difficult to get them since some are 1 real day spawns + rare = > 1 week camping = insanity, at least for me. It's not practical so say, o, I will have hawkers + 1 at lvl 30 (worth millions or lvl 80 crafting + very expensive materials and gl on not failing and making the +1 version) and shooting patricarchs off loxley at lvl 57 because that won't happen, even at end game. Not even jpn players have all the best stuff and they are still running arount at lvl 75 lfg.

Elvaan are slightly better because of rng equipments and traits that are often gear toward accuracy. Statiscally, if you have 100 points to distribute between damage and accuracy, the correct answer is an even distribution of 50/50. You can prove to yourself that is true with some calculas or statistics. In the game however, you get tp only if you hit so you would want a lean on acc, but you get that easily with traits, natural rng stat agi growth, and equipments so you really want damage really. That said, I think elvaan is a better choices on top of extra style points and HP. But again, the difference is so small anyway that you can just flip a coin.

Oddly enough, I have yet to see a single Hume Ranger, all the ones that I have seen have ether been Mithra or Evlaan (and even a few Tarutaru's). This being out of about 30 or so Rangers. I don't know if its just coincedence, bad luck, or just because its not a popular combo.

Ether way, IMO Evlaan would be the better choice. Especially since your going to start off as a warrior, and Evlaan are great warriors. So it may help in the beginning to, but just my opinion.

i'm a hume RNG, but elvaan's hold a bow so much more cooler than a hume holds a bow.

It isn't all that flattering when they cast spells either...

Look at is this way, you're going to be playing your character for months on end, staring at him/her arse from 3rd person camera view & changing clothes/armor in your mog house....

Now which would you rather be staring at...a burly male or a lithe, sexy female char? Hmmmmmm. :)

There's a reason why games like Tomb Raider became as successful as it was...
