STR on GUNS???? :: World of Warcraft

I have heard from numerous rangers around that the STRENGTH stat does not help increase GUN damage, but they are not sure - it is only what they heard. Can anyone experienced with GUNS let me know if this is true or not??????? If not, wut DOES help increase GUN dmg???

the only way I have been able to test bonuses on stats is food. And unfortunatly I have been unable to test this theory with anything other than Meat Mithkabobs. Since these raise both STR and AGI(i think) im not sure...I do know that After eating these my damage goes up about 3 or 4 points per shot...Then again, with guns, the damage is so high and there are so many factors, that there is always a constant fluctuation on damage per shot...on a side note, I cant wait for those Cannon Shells, something like 90 damage for the ammo....wow

a guns dmg is based on the guns dmg and the bullets dmg.
