Not sure if you really want to be pulling on the higher levels. I partied with a lvl 33 RNG and she pulled a few times. As a Mithra she had maybe 400 hp or so, and these things (bats/beetles in Garlaige Citadel) were smacking her for 75-100 a pop. So by the time she got back to the party and our PLD could pull aggro, she was out half her hp. Our Galkan PLD did a much better job pulling.
REALLY?! I pulled literally tens if not hundreds of beetles and bats in Garliage for hours...I love it there and I noticed we RNGs are far superior for pulling anything in Garliage because we can spot around corners using Widescan.
If this RNG pulled correctly, there should have been no reason to have gotten hit at all on the way back to the group...both the beetles and the bats do not outrun the puller. In fact, the holes on the floor only serve to slow down the beetles.
EDIT: Here's some tips for those who maybe pulling in Garliage for the first time. (a) don't pull bats that are situated near any of the doors to adjacent rooms; they obviously will link other bats, (b) before you start pulling, intruct your group to tell you if you end up with more then one pull, this way, you can continue walking right out to zone and the group is no worse for wear assuming they don't attack anything, and (c) if you're pulling from a far distance, turn around and check every so often because you'll be leaving some of those beetles behind. They like to tiptoe past the floor holes. Follow these tips and you'll have a 90%+ success rate there if not better. I don't think I ever died there.
