I was wondering if this would be a good way to claim a NM for a ranger/thief. It's animation isn't fast, but it seems to do damage before the animation is up. Is it a instant claim or close to it? Or am I better of with a boomerang or darts or flee/steal to claim as a thief/ranger?(Since even as the masters of ranged combat we can't seem to figure out those dart thingies)
Oh and just more curiousity than anything else, does EES work with boomerangs?

It works good to pull the mob off the whm thats running away cuz she got hit once, cuz she over cured. Yes you idea for NM's is good it would work well for that. I'm not sure if it works on b-rangs. Try it once before you log off so it's charged when you get back on.

Shadowbind is a great skill for grabbing NMs, and it's 5 minutes instead of 2 hours. It's not as fast as provoke, but I think the range on it is a bit farther (it's less than a regular bow shot though).

I agree that Shadowbind is a little more practical, but eagle eye strike gets the job done too for claiming NMs.
As far as other uses for it goes later on...

you can not use Eagle eye with a b-rang equiped.
