Marksmanship with RNG as a sub-job?Follow

If you choose ranger as a sub job to a class that also gets some degree of skill in marksmanship(thief for example), can you use marksmanship weapons such as guns that are ranger-only?

Let me elaborate. Say you are a level 70 Thief, level 35 Ranger. Could you use a Ranger only gun that you have to be "level 50" to use? Meaning, does the level requirement of marksmanship go off of your Range sub-job's level, or the level of your main class, if you have Ranger subbed?

Basicly I want to be a THF/RNG, but I want to specialize in marksmanship and such, and I want to be able to use the better guns and crossbows, alot of which are ranger only. Would I be able to with this combo? Or would I have to go with Ranger as my main job?

THF's have access to a few guns, and subbing RNG will help the marksmanship whether it be directly or through boosted agility and related skills.

I'm not entirely sure if I understand your full question right, but if there is a gun that's RNG only, you must have RNG as your main to use it. You can only equip items that your main job can use. Subjobs provide only additional skills and stats.

you answered my question just fine, i wanted to know if i had to have ranger as my main to be able to use ranger weapons, or if having it sub classed would be enough. :P
