Anyone else have the problem where you're within range of a mob (i.e. you just shot it) and you decide to use your WS, but when you use it you get a 'target out of range' and then your TP gets wasted? Is there some kind of medium range you need to be in order to use a WS? or is this resulting from something else?
I've noticed that I can be out of melee range and still use it, but I can be inside bow range and not be able to use it. I guess there's some range specifically for WS's. I still think it's stupid to waste the TP when you aren't allowed to use it.
I just find it's easiest to move about halfway up before you use your tp. But then again im always point blank with mobs unless they have an area attack just to get that extra hit in now and then for tp with my dagger.
Shooting distance from a mob and ranged ws distance from a mob do not have the same cap. Shooting distance I believe is 24.9 and Ranged WS distance is something like 9.9 - 15 (I forget the exact distance).
Just because you are in range to shoot doesnt mean you are in range to WS basically.
Good to step a couple feet out of melee range and get about mid max range of shooting area. Because alot of time a mob could move and easily put you out of WS range at a moments notice.
And despite what you may feel is a unspoken rule which isn't, you don't have necessarily shoot WS out of melee range im sure no one will get mad at you for it but the opposite will get you chewed and spit out lol.
