Would it be feasible for a ranger to level in shakrami off of maze makers? At what level could they start in a party, at what level solo?

Rangers hit pretty hard, but so does Shakrami. I'd say at about the levels people level in there in full groups (forget what lvl I was while in there =\), they could solo the MMs. If you see groups of lvl 14's running around, they could probably solo MMs no problem.

As RNG you hit hard so it wouldn't take that many hits, and you could just heal after getting Stoned (hehe). RNG/WHM would be nice for soloing mobs like that.

Sure, rangers hit hard, but that's only when the arrows *connect*. Sometimes you'll miss several shots in a row, especially if the mob is vt/it. Requires a little patience and practice to both kill them worms and not get stoned.

I started soloing MMs at level 14. You can solo Tough / High Def MMs with moderate difficulty. But there are a few rules that you'll need to follow to get maximumize your potential.

Buy the best bow for your level, which should be the Royal Archer Bow
Buy the best arrows, which should be the Iron Arrows
Wear your Ranger necklace that you get when you obtain the job class.
Start off every fight with Sharpshot, and you should be able to finish the fight in 6-7 shots if they all hit.. and most of them should.

Instant 200xp

Rest for 5 minutes, sharpshot is ready. Unless you have WHM sub, then you can try and risk it without Sharpshot.

If you get hit twice with Stonaga, get ready to run though. =)

If you have your 2 hour ready, you can even take down VTs, but you'd still only get 200xp.

Hunters bow is best bow at lvl 12 and on for awhile, but a pain in the ass to get, and 25,000gil range on ramuh server, with the bonuses it gives i'd say it's worth it, by the way sorry for hijacking the topic does anyone know anything about quivers and being stackable through some use of carnations? sorry for being off topic but I forsee space as an issue later on with the amount of arrows needing to be carried.

Hunters Longbow at lvl 12 (got mine from Juu Duzu, didn't pay) and then Power Bow + 1 at lvl 16 are the best bows. Power Bow + 1 should only be 20-30k, and will last you for a lot of levels.
