Well I did all 10 Animated Scythes last night, along with 9 other apoc owners on the Ragnarok Server. We should have testing done today. I narrrowly made it to the run last night, as the update finished 10min before we entered. Damage 154 is so freaking nice. :)

First report I saw was no increase to damage, that 25% was supposedly the same one we had from the 90 update.

Is that rumor that ODD can't proc on DA/TA true? I thought we could at 75, but now I'm not sure if those DA rapes on Colibri and MMJN camps were real or just a dream.

I'd test myself but I'm far to busy learning how to play on Computer and rewriting every macro I ever had because when I downloaded them to my computer from the server, the were all just a bunch of ******* JP emoticons WHAT THE **** SE RAGEGHFYCJMGNH BGFV

Prolly will soon, but right now just getting around is ****** as ****.

I really miss the smooth controls of my PS3 so much. Gonna get a control pad for this, but still sucks in comparison.

Yeah I'm already doing something like that, but it doesn't help the fact the computer version with a controller is still vastly inferior to the PS3 when it comes to moving/targeting.

I used to use the KB for macros on PS3, got to where I could run around with the controller and use macros with my toes so I didn't have to keep taking hands off my controller. It worked for me.

Now if I play for more than 20-30 minutes straight on the keyboard my wrist hurts like a ************.

Seriously? We're going to have the idiotic controller vs. keyboard argument? It's personal f*cking preference. Neither is superior or inferior to the other. FFXI is a slow game that doesn't require much in the way of speed of interface. Use whichever one you like and leave these stupid arguments to people with more time on their hands than any reasonable person should have.

I use a PS3 controller on my PC, after 5 years on PS2 I couldnt go keyboard only, so now I have identical controls, with vastly superior performance

I know the performance is better, the graphics are amazing, and the sound is worlds better, but targeting on the computer sucks a bag of ****** On the PS3 you can target by moving the camera and tabbing through mobs on screen, so you can help target what you want by looking at it. The computer will tab through every single @#%^ing thing in targeting distance no matter where the camera is facing, and that is just *** for quick, precise targeting, which actually is one of the only things you have to be fast with in this game.

I just have to get used to it because @#%^ is everything else so much better on the computer.

On an unrelated note or two:

Where the **** are my decayless absorbs?

Also, Pavor Gauntlets' "Augments "Absorb" spells" adds +3 to Absorb-Stat spells. No affect on Absorb-Attri, and probably no effect on Absorb-TP, or at least no boost bigger than Bale+2.

you can do the same thing if u are using a PS3 controller on PC, controller targeting seems to be more discriminative regardless of system

With nothing targeted you can press enter to target what's closest in front of you.

You can also use shift-tab or shift-num0 to go backwards in targets.

Fastest way to target anything, though, is to have it just off right of center, hit F1 to target yourself, and then Tab to get your target.

when targetting nothing, since I use a controller, I generally tap down to target myself then right to get the target I want, same concept

Got MG to 5% solo as DRK/SAM.

If I'd remembered to use BW I probably could have killed her. So **** close to an easy 200k.

I know a lot of people say Relics aren't worth it for the amount of gil you put into them, but Apocalypse has easily been worth it and probably has earned back most of its cost by now.

Quick question. With all the new gear in the last patch or two, wht's the best TP set for DRK?

Currently I'm stuck with:
Apoc
Rose
Bomblet/Core/Sachet
Bale
Bale
Bale
Brutal
Bale
Bale
Hoard
Rajas
Tactical
Goading
Bale
Ace's

I'm looking to buy a Hagneia Stone and a Tyrant's Ring when they pop on AH for 1mil each. If I could find another decent STP upgrade, I could pick up a Fourth Mantle and use it over my Tactical Mantle to avoid -ATK.

You can check my FFXIAH profile for my sets.

Apoc/rose//haga
bale/bale(mala)/bale/brutal
armada(stp6da3)/bale/rajas/tyrant
atheling/goading/bale/aces

Is my current TP build, I have to WS in Armadaberk/rajas to maintain a 5hit.
