This last update gave us yet more magian weapons, this time with paths for occasionally attacks 2-3 times:

In an atonement environment, you wont be worried about how much your swings are doing(not to say its not important)as much as them landing/hitting over 0. The thing with soboro is that its the same delay as hagun while this sword has +40 more delay over a joytoy.
Now while this ws will put in more swings vs joytoy you have to factor in the delay which will put joytoy ahead in any decent long event fight 15~20mins(20mins seems reasonable and goes well with einherjar/omega/ultima and any HNMs with a handful of ppl not alliances) However while joytoy may pull out more swings(its not even that many tbh within that amount of time) it averages to around 11 rounds to get 100tp, while khanda should average around 9 attack rounds to get to 100tp which will out do joytoy for atonement spam.
The new haste/stp belt would actually benefit this sword over joytoy(as the stp doesnt affect it) as it would push it down another attack round. This ofcourse is 0-100tp, after the first ws things start to change but I would imagine as it benefited Antea over joytoy it should benefit this sword aswell.
*note* if anyone would like to also do the numbers and double check what I have stated that would be nice. I have the math, but I always do things the long way :P

I am 450 wamoura and 3 lvls away from using it on pld.
I hate that the new lvl requirement is 80 because it requires me to lvl 3 jobs(Rdm, Blu, Pld) to 80.
I hope that its useful for atonement spam and blu offhand(Since they can't use joyeuse).

No rdm but I'm Doing Blu up first since My pld does have joytoy and I play it less. But god I wanna get that Perl set, comboned with some cool new cusomizable weapons I think Pwnage is among us.

Yea I was reading about that, already edited the post for that, however it changes nothing on the outcome of how it performs vs joytoy. If it was soboro type of split it would be 8 rounds-ish while as its not and its 50/30/20 it comes down to 9 rounds. However when I was doing the math I was using 9 rounds vs joys 11 for my comparison.
*note* With the STP haste belt it should be 8 rounds. This however is not an absolute answer to the out come of either sword performance on their own. As plds will be swapping out gear constantly and not always idling/casting in their stp(rajas+w/e) gear. And this is an *average* meaning sometimes it might take more rounds , sometimes less, but it will average out to about what was mentioned.
Could easily mop the floor with campaign mobs with joy/khanda pld/dnc + atonement spam with this baby. Should be serious fun.

I am thinking about starting this sword for use in Atonement spammage, but I am concerned about hitting for 0's with such low damage (only 25). I wouldn't bother with it on EXP or otherwise weak mobs, but mainly just stuff like Limbus bosses and the like. Anyone know if 0-hitting is a real issue?

From what I've read, Joyeuse still outperforms this weapon. That may change with new trials at the 85 cap.

If you're hitting for 0 with Joyeuse, you'll pretty much hit for 0 with this. The problem won't be your sword's listed damage, but lack of ATK and possibly STR relative to the mob's DEF/VIT, buffs, and level correction.
