Ok so on my server PLDs are tanks and I'm a taru, I read somewhere that Taru PLDs should where +agi gear and not wear MP- HP+ gear what are yall's thoughts on this?
Gear like any other PLD. You have more mp - use it to your advantage. Cures are the single most useful tool a PLD has enmity wise - abuse it as much as you can. You'll need to gear a little bit more for hp, since you'll need a little bit of help, but I wouldn't stress out too too much about it.

No need to focus on AGI, try to wear a little bit of +HP gear, but don't wear gear that Converts MP to HP because that takes away from the strength of a Tarutaru PLD, which is the large MP pool used for cures (which will get you hate). In the early part of your career focus on what you can for +enmity and some accuracy and attack. The higher level you get try to increase those stats, and make macros that put in your largest boosts to enmity for Provoke and Flash and stuff like that, and macro back in your melee gear for when you are TPing and WSing, that's PLD in a nutshell, there are plenty of guides located in the forum, and it would probably take an hour or so to look through most of the good stuff, take a look at the comprehensive PLD equipment guide at the top of the first page if you are looking for gear suggestions. Also, no race benefits from the Breath Mantle and High Breath Mantle as much as Tarutaru do, gives enmity and HP in sizable chunks.

You won't need HP gear or food before endgame, with the possible exception of magmatic erucas if your party is particularly sucky.
Never use agi. Taru for 90% of a pld's life makes no difference. @75 you can solo some things that other races can't and you're at a disadvantage on some mobs (hi2u ultima).
