Forgive me, I could not find the thread. Can this be simplified? I'm rewriting my macros on company time :0

I've been doing it this way:
#1 Hp down macro
#2 Hp up macro
#3 Cure
#4 Tanking gear

This has worked very well for me, aside from some shadow timing issues that comes with 4 macros. There an easier way? like one script for hp down, /wait, hp up? That would simplify things slightly.

Suppose I could just test it for myself, but then I wouldn't have an excuse to post at work!

Thanks in advance.

The only other way to do it would involve using Windower, so you'd have to decide for yourself if that is acceptable or not.

And, you'll always face some timing issues with it. At least Equipment changes work easily.

input /equip ammo "Tiphia Sting";
input /equip Neck "Morgana Choker";
input /equip Ring1 "Serket Ring";
input /equip Ring2 "Ether Ring"
input /equip Waist "Warwolf Belt";
input /equip back "Cerebrus Mantle";
input /wait 2
input /equip ammo "Bibiki Seashell";
input /equip Neck "Ritter Gorget;
input /equip Ring1 "Bomb Queen Ring";
input /equip Ring2 "Hercules Ring"
input /equip Back "Gigant Mantle";
input /equip Waist "Forest Sash";

Is cure added right in the script?

What is an example of a working script? and how often might it lag out?

EDIT: Another question would be if I used Cassie earring would the MP loss be calculated? or just balance out with the other mp+ swaps? I realize could just unequip gear as well, but would rather not blink out sometimes.

if you don't use windower, you could just use an hp up macro, cure, then switch back to tank gear, saving one macro.

Same way I have to do it.

Mine is:
1) -Hp Gear
2) /wait 1
3) +HP Gear
4) Cure
5) /wait 4 for the cure to complete, during the cure.
6) Swap back to idle set.

I tried doing it all 1 macro, and it just doesn't work. I don't know why it doesn't work, but it just doesn't. Even making them all into 1 windower script, it would randomly not work at parts or skip parts. I had to make each gear set into its own .txt file, and then connect them all in 1 file I call in my macro.

And using hp up onry is fail, because its so much weaker enmity wise than mixing in some -hp gear.

I'll just keep it the way it was, thanks for the info.

Get a berserkers torque and call it a day. -50 HP per tic, +1 TP while engaged.

Berserket Torque is @#%^ing gimp.

It takes too long to take down the hp needed for each cure.

Cure IV = about 400 HP. @ 50 HP a tic that takes 8 tics (24 seconds). Unless you need to spike your hate every few seconds, it is definatly far from gimp.

But it's not very feasible.

I can't think of a situation where I can sit with that thing on for almost half a minute to let it drop my HP down far enough to Cure IV myself.

Besides, I generally only use my HP -/+ macro during Sentinel, or in the event of a hate reset and I'm riding timers for whatever reason.

Its gimp because for 250 hp for a full cure 3, you would need to wait 15 seconds. Even at capped hate and just idling at near full hp, I cure myself way more often than once every 15 seconds. I'd feel like I was afk if I just stood there that long. And meanwhile, that 15 seconds you were waiting for your hp to tick down, is 5 mp ticks you just missed.

You're slowing yourself down, and draining off some of your mp in 1 fluid, gimpy motion. This is the ghetto, "I'm to cheap to do it the right way" method, if you don't want to carry a few extra pieces of gear.

Non visible swaps for cure3/4 swap:

Morgana -> Ritter (75 hp gain)
Serket -> Satvva (80 hp gain)
Vivian/Ether -> Bloodbead/Bomb queen (80-125 hp gain)
Shadow Mantle -> Valor cape (Gigant for cure4) (30-80 hp gain)
Swift -> RSE belt (40-60 hp gain).

I dont use -hp pieces for back/waist, as I just swap HP pieces in over my normal idle pieces for those slots.

Add in hospitalers earring as well ofcourse, but you can reach the cure3 cap rather easily with some cheap rings/neck pieces, and suppliment that for cure4 if you want to invest some more time/gil.

You could just add your HP up pieces to your Cure3/Cure4 macro entirely. You get hit for 50, you hit your cure3 macro, you cure yourself for 200+, and then just switch back to your idle gear to return to normal HP

Macro 1
/equip ring1 "Bloodbead Ring"
/equip ring2 "Bombqueen Ring"
/equip back "Gigant Mantle"

Macro 2
/ma "Cure III" <me>

Macro 3
"idle set macro" < this one resets my HP back to normal

Repeat.

Doesn't everyone do that normally?

All my normal cures not in my cureswap macro, put on my hp and enmity gear whether I cure myself or someone else. That way if I'm damaged at all, I can self-cure it all, get max hate from it, and return to normal hp.
