Title: Averter of the Apocolypse

I will be picking up my Sattva Ring tonight.

Last night I decided to slaughter Devil Mantas, in search of something that would drop a Joyeuse. After two hours something intriguing appeared. And after 3 full wipes, my LS group's 6-man finished off Charybdis and I got myself a brand new vibrator ;)
It turns out MNK/DNC is a much bigger mp sponge than we could handle. NIN/WAR and MNK/NIN duoing was just the change we needed to pull it out.


Now I can finally level up to 75! Although I'm still not going to because I want an optical hat too :P

Congrats on all the Joytoys and everything else!

Not a big deal, but the only thing I've done outside of the norm lately, was tanking a few lower ZNMs, including that Marid. (He's so slow, I literally never got hit once the 4 times we popped him, I'd certainly kite him PLD/DRK next time)

Kept hate through DRK souleater guillotine without having to use cover.

Finally got Chivalry fully merited.

After many months of trying to break a latent, finally broke the pole of trials and got Retribution! Now I have a new ws to play around with, yay!

This really isn't a big deal but I was kind of proud of myself for doing this. Last week my LS finally did Storms of Fate and I was designated the main tank. We had 14 people for the run and the only tanks were me and a NIN.

The fight lasted about 12-13 minutes and I tanked Bahamut from start to finish
without losing hate or dying a single time.

Tomorrow we're doing Shadows of the Departed and on Friday we're doing Apocalype Nigh, I'm so close to that Ethereal Earring I can practically taste it.

Threw together what i thought was a pretty crappy thunder resist gear the other day. Only had about 268 resist with both barthunder and carol.

Got lucky and no other LSs were camping sandworm or ixion after the maintenance. Killed sandworm -KA and we got our LSs second avalon body. Claimed Ixion about 20 minutes later. Didnt expect my resist build to do much, (still needed earrings and an assault breastplate). Ran in, got hit by lightning spear immedietly. 72 dmg. Thought maybe i lucked out on the resist. But not one lightning attack the entire fight went unresisted. after about 5 minutes of 70-80 dmg lightning spears and wraths or zeus, i picked a spot and just straight tanked it. No more running from tp moves ^^. Sped up the fight considerably. Only our second Ixion and we killed it in about 40 minutes.

I was juts happy a resist build actually worked on it lol.

Tanked Omega weakened, again >.>

But that's not the accomplishment, the accomplishment was being a complete moron and hitting the wrong macro, thus causing my own death. :P

Me and 2 LS mates (Jiddy and Skippii thanks guys) went and got my Honor Sword, i hit 42 later in the day.

Woot! Got Ohat last night with members of my linkshell.

All in all 15 of us started, 12 stayed the whole night, 7 hats obtained, no wipes, only 5 deaths (BLM 1, NIN 2, SAM 2)

Had my first taste at Co-tanking Proto-Ultima today and loved every minute of it!
Nervous going in since to be honest, I have never read anything about the fight or even seen a youtube video. Ate one CB and lived, ate another and died. It was an honor to co-tank with ya NCCoda. /salute

The honor was all mine bud, you did an incredible job.

Sea access! Unfortunately, I went for Rajas upon defeating Promathia.

First ever Limbus, I co-tanked Proto-Omega with our regular PLD and NIN.

Saving ABC's for my Loq. Earring now. Also started Nyzul Isle, and can't wait to get my first piece of Askar.

Got to tank Ultima last Sunday!~ It was such a fun fight, and everyone was really impressed afterward. I haven't even been with this limbus LS for 10 runs, but they were recruiting lately due to natural selection killing some of their members off in the summer time. I didn't even have that great of a resist set but still took 3 CB's for 1001, 956, and 840something. BRD always had light carol up, but I used my Iron ram lance + merman earrings/rings/lamiamantle+1 setup as it was coming down >;o.

It was such a blast, and I was feeling so down and out too after I saw I could have another ~10? M.D.B. from campaign battles and that iron ram set >.< So I signed up and did my first campaign on PLD just yesterday! =D

Got lots of things done in the past month:
-Valor surcoat
-Koenig cuirass
-Bahamut's mask
-Lamian kaman +1 (1/29 on the craft, at least I got some merits while farming the kamans on my DRG)
-Ritter gorget, improving my cure-macroes a lot, still need Morgana choker though which will take a while due to the eyepatch.

Going to finish group two merits next, 20 to go!

Well not really a big deal but it was to me.

Solo'ed Worr the Clawfisted the other day. Yes maybe to you guys say yeah sure no problem. But for me it was a big deal.

Hit 75 not to long ago, got Chiv unlocked and but 2 merits into + crit hit rate up so far.

Was leveling weapons in the SSG and did not have my good tanking gear with me. Mostly +AGI items hoping for some parrying skills. Luck would have it that I had my Koeing Shield and Martial Anelance with me and ether and electrum rings.

Anyways turned the corner and there he was, asked a LS mate to look him up level wise and found that he was 61. I took the chance and went for it. Killed him and got the H2H weapon was well. Ended the fight with 156hp and 12mp, if I timed his 2hr with reprisal and sentinal the fight would have gone much better.

Needless to say I use tanking and mp gear down there just in case, also I am wondering why SE puts PLD on H2h weapons when we have no rating in that weapon.

Well today August 10 I beat the other NM in the coffer area Pahh the Gullcaller
got the Calamar Polearm.

Now to see what other NM's i can solo down there.

Yes, I totally fail at Campaign, finally made time to get ranked up.

Just recently solo'd my first Avatar, Shiva.

After a couple of mistakes on Ramuh, Ifrit and Garuda, and getting close but running out of MP on Leviathan (Thankfully a friend who needed the whispers for his evoker's ring was there to finish him off) I finally got the technique down for Shiva.

Did the fight as a PLD/RDM, and it's reaffirmed my belief that soloing as PLD/RDM is WAY more fun than it has any right to be. It's one of those guilty pleasures, like stacking haste and DD gear, grabbing my Joyeuse and Justice sword, and going out and dual-weild DDing.

Tanking bosses in Nyzul isle as PLD/NIN and loving it. Don't let anyone tell you that PLD sucks in Nyzul Isle, it makes our runs soooo much smoother!

Plus its super fun to tank some the Toau bosses! Did 3 floors 80's last night getting cerb each time and tanked him flawlessly each time!

Only dropped 1 Denali body but still fun.

I just beat Maat on my first try. Many thanks to the guides on these forums, suggestions from its members and the videos on youtube.

Couldn't have done it without the rest of you guys. That was a really fun fight.

Took me 8 minutes, but I won, time to go sell all the left over meds heh.
