-You hate it when people say "This mob has to be tanked by a NIN" and will get utterly owned in the attempts to prove them wrong.
-When people in your linkshell ask you for help the first thing you say is "I'll gear my PLD!" even if they already have a tank.
-You drool on other PLD's with better gear than you =(
-You hiss every time you see a DRK.
-You wish you regularly carried a shield with you so you could shield bash morons irl.

You know you've been a pld too long when..
-You click on "seek party" and 10 seconds later get an invite right away.

This thread is unbelievably awesome.
I'm a 48 Paladin and already guilty of doing these things or have done these things...
-You use Holy Circle no matter how the party is doing just to evoke a response from one of them saying "Well that did a WHOLE LOT to our fighting effectiveness!"
And you respond "Damn straight it did"
..and proceed to thrash the mobster to a pulp
-You feel pride when a party member mentions... ""XXX is so kind! must be a pld thing =)"
-You spend your battle not enjoying the pretty graphics of the DDS or buffs or cures..but mastering your timers, watching carefully your pt members hp for any twitches in their white numbers. Or you watch the chat log for any damage that your members take and you missed it because you were looking at the other two things.
I have begun saluting as a means of hello/goodbye/respect/and-any-other-excuse

You know you've been a PLD too long when you realize you could change to another job...and find it odd that there's no shinny gleam in your armor.

i must say i got irritated when they said charybdis can be duoed with nin brd. so i tried pld, brd and got my aXX handed over. i did accept it after the fact that i "died" corrected XD.

- when you play as a whm and get annoyed with the current pld not keeping hate because you know how to do it, whilst secretly knowing you are spamming cures and want hate.
- when you use invincible when the party is in trouble, and get annoyed when other members use it to try and zone (i had a macro that said something like "using invincible, mages use this to heal to prepare for round 2").

When you're running a D&D campaign that features a nation in the sky called solaria, which fields and army of level 5 paladins.

when you try to "make" PLD in FFXIV to simple bring you joy and that theres nothing else really more gratifing atm.

Have to add to this:
When you tank sweepers in aby altep as a 80PLD/40WAR and keep hate from all the lvl 99 going ape-sh*t on them :P
When you laugh at others running from mobs about to do a BIG AOE attack and stand there still tanking :P
When skilling up your shield in the boyada tree and you run with all your mobs collecting more on the way just to raise someone
When the person you just raised's party asks if you need help and you tell them, "Nah, i got this sh*t" and proced to kill them all
