For those of you with/working on UkonFollow

If you have no competition farm the free-roamers. Gold box -can- work, but since you cant chose what KI are in box, it can be unreliable. I would pre-farm quivering aft eggs in bulk while other people weren't on, that guy is pretty squishy. With the meds you get on entering, just get up to 200 TP Sekka>Blood rage> Raging to raging and he is nearly dead. Also would try to pre-farm the manticore and cockatrices if I could, but make sure you have some TH for that, drop rate sucks w/o. @#%^ tefenet, I just bought the whiskers for 50k each and said to hell with it. I had 5 shells laying around from before I was seriously into getting an Ukon, and from start to finish was no more than 2 weeks on Glavoid.

Also, my group has a policy. If we've got pretty heavy competition for the actual NMs we say the hell with it, build ambers quick and go Cleave burning. Within the hour (with any measure of luck) we have at least 3 set of the timed NMs, which are the annoying ones anyway.

We don't boast the "done in three nights" bragging rights, but then again we run with less than half of what others have posted here. Work with what you have, right?

On another note, I'd be interested to see how others handle Glavoid efficiently. We tend to grab a smn and keep earthen armor up at all times to prevent Disgorge from one-shotting a nin and thf tank. I suspect schierzo works as well, migawari is unreliable due to the 30 second (I think?) gap between up time and recast.

What do you guys do?

I work with much less than half of what others do. Donations on Carbuncle of Glavoid Shells and Itz. Scales are welcome btw!

I typically duo a cleave with my WHM buddy. Both of us have guns and we're working on his Chloris and my Glav. Tahrongi is annoying as hell. At least in La Thiene, everything was close together for Carabosse.

Typically we come together once a week and do 4-5 pops of Glav and Chloris with the rest of the time being casual working by Fell Cleave and/or timed/popped/procced NM sessions.

Taking a break currently because got a little burned out of these and last minute summer vacations.

Glavoid is easily trio'd or quadrupled provided you have the right jobs and the right atmas: My preferred setup is: me (WAR or THF), duo partner (WHM), occasional LS member (THF), other occasional member (NIN) with Earth Wyrm atmas on the DD. Our problem isn't so much surviving, it's simply not becoming bored as hell after Glavoid #50 and making sure we always turn before it absorbs damage. I can't recall ever bringing a SMN or BRD although I wouldn't turn them down if we have healer, treasure hunter and tank(s) covered already.

Good luck, I hate it too. Finished off a full chloris, a full glavoid set on my friend, and all but Alecytron KI on myself and my mule last night in a 2.5 hour Fell cleave session. We already had a Thief friend with us that had full sets of each, so we'll be popping 4 of each hopefully soon.

We just finished 1 GA, 2 H2H, and are finishing another GA in Tahrongi.

What worked best for us, was to run in and cap out Amber and Azure asap (Bhumi, Iratham, and checking on Chukwa/Minochoa/Adze). Then we let a BLU/RDM go do his thing "Cleaving" Scorpions or Coeurls, and he calls out KIs so people can run over and get them to complete sets.

While the BLU is doing that, the rest of us are camping the timed mobs and killing for pop items in between spawns (Resilent Manes, Whiskers, Skulls, etc).

We hate to rely on Chests, because we always end up with 30 Chukwa KIs and nothing of another we need, so we use the chests to augment the KI's we're running around getting.

It may not be the best method, but it worked pretty well for our size group. (4-6 people)

I meant its easier to gold box farm for me. The mandy's hardly hit me when solo on blu/rdm (gimp phalanx), and hit for all 0's if I have a Rdm to phalanx 2 me (which I can do with my wife's char). Its a little bit of luck but in two nights (about 4ish hours total) we have farmed up 8 mothra sets and 9 worm sets (other guy in my shell going after H2H). In Tahrongi it feels like we could maybe get 8 of either Chloris or Glav in 4 hours if we got lucky with no competition. At 21 scales now and have 4 pops to kill, so will be at least halfway done with Attowha.
