Just Got "Ukko's Fury"Follow

Only 9 trials left for me! -.-

I am going for this next after i fnish my PDT Gax which I am puting together just for certain low man events and FC burn.

I have been waiting for 90 so i can solo all the trials on War.

Outside of WoE how long does it take? Assume I can devote 30 mins to 1 hour a day.

Could i do it in a month?

Kill mobs 20% faster, take 20% less damage, natch.

Pretty much my policy. Dead mobs can't hurt you (anymore).

Screenshots are nice and shiny, but if at all possible, a parse comparing RR, KJ, and UF over roughly the same amount of time would be ideal. Anything else is eyeballing.

Uh....I understand people's obsession with parsers and the need to prove everything with facts but RR and KJ obviously don't average anywhere near the numbers I posted. I mean, can you as a WAR pull off 2k-2.9k WSs every time....not highs, I'm talking literally every WS....with either KJ or RR, with no outside buffs? No....no one can.

If I can get a parser to work on this computer I'll run some tests but this WS is obviously 100x better than either RR or KJ.

The WS damage would be more or less the same. A few more base damage isn't going to add much at all to the WS, and the Occ. Deals 2x Damage doesn't proc on the WS. The sole reason to upgrade the Empyrean over the WoE path is the Aftermath....so I'm kinda missing your point.

Ukon is a much better weapon DPS-wise and WS-wise though. Higher damage, lower delay, OADD of ~30%, 15 STR now, and higher fSTR too if I'm not mistaken. This Maschu can put up high numbers and may well be the second best GAxe in the game, but it's no Ukon.

Edit: 5-hits with Ukon really aren't that hard.

26%, 13 TP/hit base, 36 STP from gear/15 from sub/6 from food = 57 STP
32 STP during WS required, minimum of 31 (Rose/Rajas/Brutal/Carb/SAM) possible.

If you add Regain ticks from Voracious Violet, you can safely swap Tactical Mantle to Belenos and Whit Tathlum to Bomb Core to pick up 40 Attack. Alternatively, you could swap Carb to a serious meat.

Sure, Ukon is easier to 5-hit. Corollary is that you get TP slower and WS less frequently. The OADD will more than compensate for the lost Attack, Double Attack, or whatever other stat you think of between the two builds. The benefit of Maschu +2 is that it is massively easier to obtain.

How hard is it to attain the Coins of Glory? Barring those, I could get the Maschu a lot easier than Ukonvasara.

Hex (or anyone) can you ball park how long it would take to get this assume

WoE Sunday nights for 1.5 hour with another 3-4 hours a week devoted to completeing the trials.

The pace at which I'm throwing out previously great weapons is increasing:

We barely knew ye Vermeil Bhuj, Warlord's Axe and now it's almost time for us to part ways, Widowmaker.

Trade Stout Arm(?) for Apoc/Alpha/Omega if you can (This should be your second choice atma, VV is 3rd choice), Emp body for Grim Cuirass with Zerk down/Zahak's with Zerk up (if you have Perle use that), Trade Emp hands for Heafoc you don't need to WS in them for the Restrain bonus. Even Alkys will beat Emp hands in abyssea honestly.

Mask for WS, there's nothing wrong with legs fulltime if you don't have hachi and even then it's a wash unless zerk is up (only a little bit ahead iirc), Fulltime feet for critical hit damage increase (easily outperforms heca), for body Zahak's is the superior body, Perle is if you don't have access to Zahak's (Grim is pretty good when Zerk is down, but still abit of a wash if not HQ'd).

For Ukko's Atmas RR/VV/Apoc should be a good choice, A/O in place of VV seems better for raging rush possibly due to more hits TA can proc on/low str mod, Ukko's has a much higher Str mod than Raging so VV is still pretty good for it. VV also helps xhit depending on GA.

Breeze and Thunder work for certain, I've been hearing conflicting reports on Light working and don't have one. Light shouldn't work if it's like a relic weaponskill but someone has posted SA>Ukko with light belt was showing a damage increase, so it's possible Empyrean weaponskills are different from Relic WS.

Unless 85>90 boosts the "occasionally 2x damage" rate, and I doubt it does, no there won't really be a noticeable difference. A few more base damage and +5 or whatever more STR ain't gonna set the world on fire.

I have to say the final upgrades are very lazy, almost pointless aside from the status of completing it.

They should of done it more along the lines of, 80=base weapon, 85=WS, 90=aftermath.
