Ravager Seal: LegsFollow

So, it looks like the way to solo these is by doing the Soil and Green quest in Misareaux (Abyssea). Does anyone have any success with this? A warrior on my server said it took him about 30-40 tries to get all 8 seals. I did the quest over 75 times and got a single SMN seal and no WAR or any other job seals.

Random is random. I've been spamming that quest as well as the Cookbook one in between NM hunting, and so far I've gotten 2 WAR, 2 THF, a random assortment of others, and 12 SAM seals. So far these quests follow SE's Rule of Evasion to a T.

I took me about 6 stones to get all my seals for war legs.

Its long, boring and random. But it is still better than a *lot* of the other quests.

I am not looking forward to climbing the hill in attowha, and the BLM legs pratically force you to kill NMs for it because the quest is so stupidly demanding in time.

I was lucky and got the 8xSAM seals first, then i was ****** off to find out 'enhance hasso' just adds 1% haste for the +1's

Questing these was one of the easiest ways to get great legs. Not sure why someone said its long....wayyyy shorter than trying to obtain byakko's etc and IMO they are better. (ugly though)

In the last two weeks I've quested 4 different taget AF3+1's (not counting ones I got in the process that I wasn't going for) This one took maybe 40min for me. Took longer to get the credits to buy the base set.

As far as the Sam legs go that one took me the longest. Ran out of stones and had to wait a few days. Its haste value with Hasso active is equal to byakko's but Its store tp makes it an upgrade either way. Most people will probably full time them since not many better ws's pants easier to obtain that Sam can equip.

Did the quest exactly 100 times to get 8 Warrior Seals.

In that time I also got... 4 Smn, about 6 Sch, and 4 or 5 Pup

WAR was the most common for me, but yeah, took quite a number of repeats to get 8 WAR and 8 DNC.

I've only so far tried conflux #3. Is one of the other points faster? I spend roughly 2.5 minutes of abyssea time each attempt with sprinter's boots on.

If it's at 7, then that's faster - but not all of the points are active at a time, so people will often get the point to pop at 3 because it's more convenient for doubling/tripling up on quests since the sausage one is there, cookbook NPC is there, etc.

Also, 7 is by raptors, so unlike 3 where there's just JA aggro, you might need to actually sneak up despite the point being far closer.

If you're only doing the quest for WAR seals (As in, not doubling up and doing Cookbook or anything), I found #7 to be the fastest. Just /DNC and use Spectral Jig to avoid aggroing the Raptors. You should finish every run in under 2 minutes. Good luck!

This one isn't so bad if the logging point is in the raptors. Total time in and out of zone is about 2 min if I remember right. I think it took me about 6 stones as well. ASA atma and or sprinter's shoes / hermes sandels will speed up your travel time. Just expect to spam the crap out of these if your planning on doing any of the repeatable quests.

On a side note for the head seals in chasm. Get confluxes 3,5,7,8 before starting them. After flagging the quest at 8 (rank2 fame required). Go to 7 to hit taru and hume and climb mountain backwards to get to mithra. Cut across top and drop to elvaan and then go to hume. Climbing backwards will save some time and frustration.

Quest is brain-dead easy and quick. Sub Dancer, get Visitant status, flag quest, Conflux warp to #7, Spectral Jig, cancel Invisible, run North to a logging point (one of two places in small area), get quest text, return to Conflux #01, talk to NPC, zone and repeat until you get 8 seals. Can always use all of the cruor you obtain to buy armor and NPC to get some kind of additional return for the time.

It took me about 4 hours to get my 8 WAR seals. I got 4-5 of each of the other ones. It's very random and you won't get any seals about half of the time. Just keep at it. You'll eventually have your seals.

Would assume just doing Heqet would be easier, Heck even people killing him for masamune will probably give you the seals for free.

I just got all 8, after a total of 141 runs. Here's how it broke down for me:

WAR - 8
DNC - 10
SCH - 10
SMN - 7

154 runs

13 callers seals (smn)
7 charis seals (dnc)
17 savant seals (F'ing SCH)
8 ravagers seals

Got first three within the first hour, several hours without 1 single war drop, then last 5 in the last hour. The bird or frog has to be easier.

Frog is easy Duo War+Rdm. Get the right atma's ( I use RR+Viccustistude (fistules atma has Def / 15ticregen/MDB ) Rdm needs to make sure Slow and para are on at all times. Dispel Providence or frog cheer whichever is MAB for the frog. Then make sure Erase addle. Besides that quick and easy fight with war seals dropping very frequently.

Or just /SAM, fulltime Hasso, and have a WHM with Refresh Atmas.

Most of my experiences with WAR/SAMs against the bird usually involved the WAR/SAM kissing dirt before the end of the fight and probably dealing less total damage than they could have if they knew how to properly hold back.

Course, most of my experiences didn't also include a WHM in the party. Must be really nice for those people who always have one around.

Well obviously you have to adapt your strategy based on what you have to work with, but in my experience, it's been fairly easy to just recruit a pickup WHM with Atmas to lot on whatever seals you don't want/need. Basically all they need is at least Minikin Monstrosity and /RDM. Could probably /SCH with a second Refresh Atma. Afflatus Solace for some awesome Stoneskin Cures and then Cure 5/6 spammage. I've dualboxed the bird with WAR and WHM, with no real issues to speak of (at least none that didn't arise from me mis-tabbing to my browser or movie player instead of my WHM).

Obviously, /NIN and surviving with a RDM or a sub-par WHM is better than /SAM and dying, but it's really not that difficult to /SAM with a competent WHM. It's pretty sad that people are unable to find WHM on their servers.
