Rune Chopper in campaignFollow

My Warrior is currently sitting at 14% haste (no haidate and w/ my schedule none any time soon). With so many ways of obtaining refresh now from sigil, sanction, fov, etc, is it a valid choice for campaign or instances where the refresh would be no problem to achieve? I currently only have a foolkiller, byakko's, and rune chopper. In my head it seems a no brainer, but i never see a war w/ a rune chopper equipped. I was looking to spend some allied notes and saw the new campaign refresh necklace and i realized i could achieve the required mp drain and i couldn't see any reason NOT to use it in campaign.

So basically my question is: when the refresh is available, is there any reason not to use a rune chopper?

Go nuts. Although I'd expect /DNC would be a lot better than some MP based sup. Unless you have MP merits or something.

Owait, Walmart Turban & Lolsode = 60MP.

Yeah go nuts.

I love RuneChopper.

Ever since I was able to equip it, I've used it. Nowaday, its pretty easy to have refresh about just all the time anyway.

And if you have a couple of dedicated friends that have RDM, BRD and DNC, try this:

War/Sam
runechopper 9%
Turban 5%
duskglove 3%
duskboot 2%
Byakko Haidate 5%

Gear haste 24%

Haste Belt 10%
Haste Spell 15%
March II 11%

Magic haste 36.0%

Haste Samba 10%
Hasso 10%

Ability haste 20%

Total Haste 80.0%

Weapon----------Delay---Seconds
RunneChopper----504-----8.40
Adjusted:-------100.80--1.68

never did it personaly, but plan to one day!

Isn't the Haste Belt's effect overwritten by the spell Haste? EDIT: Apparently not. That's interesting.

Rune Chopper has always been one of the best GAXs out there. So many people over look it because of the lower base damage but even with 1/tic mp refresh it still nets out to a large increase in attack speed. It becomes far more relevant though when you have haste and marches.

For campaign if you can get one Fortitude Axe is the best for solo I'd say. You can't beat it for TP gain when you don't have a lot of haste and campaign you should be using /Dnc to gain the most from exp/AN.

I have no idea why RC isn't more popular, it's the highest parsing GA I've personally found for everything I do on WAR. (I've only used Perdu, RC, and Fort, so it's not like I've got a Bravura or tested everything out there)

Finding a RDM willing to throw you a Refresh, or carrying enough Pineapple Juices in your own back pocket, may be a little trickier than can be expected from most pickups.

True enough, however I've found it to outdo Perdu even with 1mp/tick Refresh from Sanction. It's my go-to build for anything in Aht Urghan.

I've heard this gives 4.5% haste. Is this right? Or does it give 9% on some ticks and 0% on others?

It's technically 9% on some, 0% on others, though the logical average assuming a uniform distribution would be 4.5%.

I'm pretty sure the distribution of latent rounds vs non-latent rounds is also proportionate to the amount of existing overall haste you have. Basically the way Rune weapons work is as soon as you get 3 mp it tics if you're engaged. So the testing that I saw way way back in the day was that the lower your haste values are the more benefit from Rune Chopper you'll get. Also I'm not talking just about having more than 17% gear haste I'm talking about regular haste (spell) and marches. The thing is though haste is such a huge increase the more you stack it, so it's pretty close to a Perdu (or similar high damage GAX) build if you can't get a lot of haste gear. I've found you can hit about 22% haste or more without too much trouble then Rune Chopper's advantage also drops off a lot.
