This is my first time posting in the WAR forum, even tho have gotten a lot of good info from the veterans here over the years, and have a question regarding a certain GAX.

I have and use a perdu, but looking at the tp mods for Kings Justice and Steel Cyclone, I'm wondering how well martial bhuj performs in exp and endgame compared Perdu and other GAX?

Does the TP bonus overcome the lower damage in any scenarios compared to perdu or even beserkers or Erlking's(with any damage+ augments)?

Any information, or personal experience/opinion would be helpful, thanks.

M.bhuj is a great weapon to sell on the AH to other WARs for a nice profit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To elaborate, this is the only situation in which I see M.bhuj being superior to Perdu:
You cannot TP on the mob, you have to build TP externally. You cannot use RR/KJ. You are /THF. Despite building TP externally, building to 300 isn't feasible.
In that case I'd say M.bhuj takes the cake. If you're meleeing for TP, perdu wins hard. If you can't melee for TP but can build to 300 anyway (dark ixion) there's no point in using m.bhuj. If you're using KJ it sucks. If you're using RR it really sucks.
As for why people still buy it? There have always been and there will always be people with more money than good ideas.
I attribute it to "Hey, it works for Samurai."
I used to use a M.Bhuj pre-2handed update.
I think I sold it sometime after getting a perdu.
I would think it would be best on like old style gods /thf with savegery after the first WS.
Not really. DoT matters a lot more than people think it does, even if you're doing stuff like /THF for gods (which I wouldn't even recommend).
M Bhuj was a good option prior to P. Voulge, the Raging Rush patch, and the 2 handed weapon boost.
Would depend on how you do it. If you're chasing it and meleeing while building TP, then no it would still lose. If you're Meditating up TP and then WSing at 120TP then yes it would be the better option. Who does that though, amirite?
Hey, if you can get someone to let you close Darkness each and every time you have 100% TP, then Martial Bhuj is full of win. Shame, that's really hard to do
From my experience with this, I agree. No comment on the Martial Bhuj part, but SC really pulls ahead on Demons in Xarc for me with Perdu. I'm not sure how the DoT would match up, since I don't own, or ever plan on owning, a Martial Bhuj, but I have a feeling that the DoT on Perdu would still put it ahead of Martial in the grand scheme of things.
I don't know what the heck you've been reading, but it's wrong.
TP Bonus = adds 100 TP, still doesn't exceed 300. Simple as that.
However, there are several weapon skills that gain more power when going from 200->300 TP as opposed to 100->200, Steel Cyclone included:
Quote:
    * Damage Multipliers by TP:
    100%TP 	200%TP 	300%TP
    1.50 	1.75 	3.00
I bought a martial bhuj a while back just so I could see for myself what the deal was. It was a disappointment. I sold it very soon thereafter.
Thanks, I see what I may have been misreading.
The point still stands that using SC with M. Bhuj < 200 tp is not good.
As someone pointed out, it adds 100 TP to whatever value you have and doesn't go past 300. I've mentioned it a billion times before on this forum but the Bhuj and Steel Cyclone is a pretty consistent WS given good food and a setup. It doesn't reach the highs of Raging Rush or sometimes King's Justice but it is pretty high. Ideally between 120 and 150 TP is the best time to use a WS with it so you've broken the 200 TP threshold and gotten into the higher end of the modifiers.
Of course the primary the reason not to use the Bhuj is the lower DMG causing your DOT to go down. The only real way to counteract that is to get consistent Darkness chains providing you with extra oomph. Granted, you could do that with King's Justice but Steel Cyclone is more consistent.
No, just id numbers, which can be used to estimate join date if you know someone else's join date who has a similar id number. For example, your id number is only slightly higher than mine, and i joined around the beginning of april 2004, so you must have joined early/mid april 2004.
