Taking WAR to 75 and gotta' say, whenever I change jobs to WAR, I automatically ****** all over in the Mog House and in the Moogles mouth a little. I have no effin' clue why I've held it back for so long. Oh yeah, to the question, can I /SAM and G.axe as soon as I get raging rush or do I stick with rampage? Cause like G.axe makes me feel big down there.

Sure. You'll most likely die and reduce your exp/hr tremendously, though. Damage mitigation can't be all that important.

I'd probably /nin and stay alive that bit longer. I'd also look into getting some towels, and maybe air freshners for your mog house.

I'd recommend maybe a rain poncho for your moogle and to remove any carpet from your MH just to make cleanup easier.

Or hire one of these guys (NERSFW)

Edit: Video not even remotely safe for work. :P

/nin with a gaxe is just as good as /nin with dual axes, if not better.

Waiting on /SAM for level 70 and Seigan isn't a bad thing.

King's Justice is slightly different than RR. It's better in some situations, has less potential in others. A lot of WARs, myself included, tend to default to KJ due to generally more consistent damage.

That'd be the problem.

They're both fun to use and it's nice to switch things up. Gear depending, KJ has better potential over time, especially with it's freak crits.

On weaker, lower levels mobs, I feel happiest with RR as crits are more likely to happen; whereas if something is a bit beefier, I'll use KJ for reliability. During a zerg though, when MS is active, KJ is just immense.

Hold your horses war machine, /Sam requires expertise and coordinated party play to be worth, don't get in the "MUCHO MACHO" bandwagon so easily, keep in mind death people don't win parses*, and at least wait until 70 to use it.

Btw, is King's Justice now the bread & butter WS for WAR? I already have the axe and runic key. But usually raging rush WARs do higher than king's justice WARs in merits I've noticed, but that's just me eyeballing it.

The problem to be honest is that we don't know with certainty what is the critic % on RR and for that reason we can't calculate and get a mathematical fool-proof answer for that question.

However we do know that Raging Rush +critic % needed to be extremely strong(something like +25%) to make Raging Rush better on every possible scenario(or at least those that counts), our current approach is "The better your warrior, the better KJ will be for you" since once your attack reach certain point the extra damage from critical hits get dismissed.

Sincerely.

Ken.

*what I'm trying to say is not that winning parses is important, but if you die you will end doing less damage, hence killing /Sam strong point, than you could with other subjob.

Did anyone ever quantify what the random spikes in KJ damage are? If it's something crit-related then it may be even better to use KJ fulltime.

I think you're confused.

Anyway, RR has been consistently doing better for me at merits, but that's just me parsing it.

That might be the case. Hard to say which would be better for where without parsing it right now, since we don't know what the mystery spikes are actually doing.

Yeah, I just wanted to play with Raging Rush when I got it so I went /SAM. I've been going /NIN till I atleast hit 70 for SE+TE. But you know, I've only played SAM, BLM, WHM, RDM for almost 4 years so I didn't really get to play with any hard hitting multi-hit WS's (Rana doesn't count). The bad-assedness I felt after doing my first raging rush was immense. It was like punching a crying baby at applebees.
