that? that's nothing.

Doing sky last night. Suddenly, over vent we hear a cry of "omfg, someone's doing a /sh kirin! Smiley: laugh" to which we proceed to laugh and beg our leader to let us go watch. We were intending to do kirin anyway, but we had other stuff todo first. Anyway, we eventually get there. They had been annihilated, we got there with kirin and three minis still up. We decided not to mess with that.

Then, as we walk over to the remains of the shout group, I spy this...

and no, he doesn't even deserve a black out. I'm that ashamed.

That is so very nearly my game name by a difference of two letters.

These failWARs deserve my undying scorn, and I'm not even a WAR to begin with.

No hauby! Raaaaaaaagggggggeeeeeeeeeee.

the second warrior reminds me of one in my LS. Full-times AF legs and hands, relic feet and head (yes, those bits). Sadly, he's been in the LS since it was a social so I'd be over-stepping my mark to kick him on grounds of gimpness, and talking to him, you realise some people are just beyond help :(

Yeah, generally I don't pay much attention to what people wear in Campaign. I myself use Jelly Ring and Arhat's gear, not exactly awesome when it comes to DD. Still though, alot of that gear no one has any business even owning. Smiley: crymore

Yeah... well I am ashamed to say, I was party leader. He was a replacement member - when he arrived and I saw his gear, I asked other members if they would mind if I booted him and they said "who cares, party's only for 1 more hour" so I went with it. It was kind of fun to see his 50 dmg sturmwinds and making fun of him behind his back. In hindsight, I should have just booted immediately and played out the party with 5. He didn't deserve the little exp he got. :p

Do tears of laughter count as crying? I find it quite amusing. Level sync is such a success.

I can't seem to find the one with ACP body that had crit/ Stp Sb on it, but worst I've seen is a lvl 65 war dual wielding some level 30 axes and HQ lvl 14 str rings, in AF and sipari body.

Being sh*tty is still a different play style.

when i made that tabarzin post i was thinking about that kind of thing and laughing. i mean, what kind of attitude leads to tabarzin? i imagine an exchange like

<pahn> tabarzin, huh?
<WAR> that's right.
<pahn> you know, there's better axes that are either cheaper or a tiny bit more expensive (IRP, maneater, woodville) that are a fair amount better, not to mention GA.
<WAR> don't care.
<pahn> well... i see you have very little ATT and ACC, so GA would really be--
<WAR> let me stop you right there; don't care.
<pahn> i see... how did you get to 75 anyway?
<WAR> i dunno.
<pahn> don't remember?
<WAR> maybe.
<pahn> ...
<WAR> yup.
<pahn> yeah. ...tabarzin.
<WAR> gotta do it my way, son.
<pahn> represent.

---

seriously, where does the attitude come from? "i'm gonna pay $12/month to play this game, but fucked if i'll actually play it well! you can't make me accomplish the tasks set out by my job choice. i'm gonna be me!" it blows my mind. it's like if you played a console game and there was an enemy where you had to hit it with a special sword to allow you to damage it (you know the type), and the player was like, "[shaking head] god **** it, i'm not hitting you with that item. i don't give a fuck, i know it's the only way to damage you, but i'm doing it my way. [nodding] you're going down, ************. yea-heh, that's me, son." (player continues doing this for hours/days).

how does it happen? why? but it does. it's insane.

IMHO it reaches the point when ppl simply get defensive against your comments no matter what they are.

Good, bad or ugly it's automatically wrong simple because it doesn't come from themselves, cause? either of the following:

1) I have better gear than you.
2) Even if you have better gear I'm more skilled.
3) Even if you have better gear and skill it's only cuz you have no life and live only to play, ergo I won't follow you since "This is just a game" and I don't want to be like you.

I sincerely believe that at some point is just proud and stubbornness, has nothing to do with the advice itself more than the fact that it is an advice and it doesn't come from myself.

Sincerely.

Ken.
