From MNK to WARFollow

Hey Alla WARs,

I am a long time MNK and have recently been leveling my WAR. Unfortunately, most of my parties have been synced down to 37-40 and recently I've decided that I want to stop that and hopefully start xping from 50+. My WAR is currently 58.

I have been focusing on a meat build for my MNK and am wondering if, at this stage, I should be doing the same thing for WAR. Should my main focus be ACC and ATK elsewhere? I've no idea why but I'm nervous about gearing WAR :/

Oh man, that's some funny stuff. Everyone was so mean, too.

acc > att > str > dex is correct. war tends to swap out more str in ws than mnk. you will undoubtedly come across gear on war which you may wonder is better than what you already have.

take, for example since you are about to hit 59, walkure mask vs sapahi turban. 6att vs 3st. general rules says att > str but thats a big chunk of str. i use a method which may or may not be 100% correct so take it with a grain of salt. for gear upgades/sidegrades i try to convert all stats into a single value, att.

from what i have read from the great math wizards around here are some other general rules i choose to follow:

1 acc = ~3att
1 STR = ~2att
1 dex = .5 acc = ~1.5att

so on the example above of walkure mask vs sapahi turban you can see they have about the same impact on your DoT. I chose, and recommend, the sapahi (abtal if you can afford it) because it also effects your ws modifiers.

there are some other gear upgrades/sidegrades i have done this with like NQhauby + pcc vs HQhauby + chivchain and the popular 'what pants should i wear until 75' of royal knights breeches vs think breeches vs exorcist hose vs barone:

royal knights breeches- 2 str 2 dex 3 att = ~10 att
think breeches- 2 acc 5 att = ~11 att
exorcist hose- 3 str 3 acc = ~15 att <-winner
barone- 2 str 6 att = ~10 att

Yea but we would have to spend billions upon billions to harness it. Rocket fuel to get there, machinery to tap into it, more fuel to get back, manpower to control the machines, hazard pay for some freak micro-meteor storm or something...we'd end up bankrupting Earth first lol. I do admit though that if we could tap into that power, it would be all we could ever need.


And btw, I do realize most of the universe is empty space. I meant that planets and stars and such in each galaxy. Guess I coulda been clearer on that, lol.

Get 60+ and you should be able to go ride retaliation as /dnc and get both to 200ish fighting crabs in kuftal. Fight by the zone if you're taking too much damage.

Meat is usually the easiest to do since you'll prolly be burning through them on birds, though if you're low for the camp (<50% acc), like 52-53 or 60-61 on birds, crab sushi can be more helpful.

Most of the gear for war is pretty obvious for that level range. Often times there is an expensive best option, which if you can't afford then the alternatives usually even out amongst each other (SFG, PCC, etc). Some things are pretty easily attainable and full of win (haub).

Great axe gives you about 20 more accuracy, which really helps, though you'll still have pretty low accuracy anyways.

No, cold fusion is the idea that you could preform (like a magic trick!) fusion at "low" temperatures (rather than the ridiculously high temperatures and pressure needed) for easy energy. For fusion, they're working on using lasers to heat isotopes of hydrogen. I think a power plant is planned to be built somewhere in Europe in the future? Going off memory >.>

Cold fusion can happen at room temperature while it takes high heat, 300 million degrees Celsius, for normal fusion to occur. The term "cold fusion" just means that the temperature at which the fusion occurs is lower than what is normally used. It doesn't have to be absolute zero.
