What should I merit first?Follow
Just got around to starting to merit now and was wondering where I should put my points first? Thinking about axe skill since I'm DWing but wanted your input ^.^
My input is to equip Great Axe and put 8 merits into it.
Then to put 5 merits into Double Attack.
Then to put 5 merits into Double Attack.

I did 4crits > 4DA > Gaxe > and next I'm gonna do 3/3 bergressor.
And if I were you, I'd do it in a similar order.
Crit hits first though. No matter what you're using.

Way back then when i merited WAR, i went with 1 skill, 1 crit, 1 DA, 1 Zerk, 1 Agg. Then i repeated the process until something got where i wanted it.
I think it was probably one of the most efficient ways of getting the most out of your merits quickly...

I personally went with GA skill first (well my first ever merit I put into crit but that was because I had no idea what to do first). I figured that getting to an acceptable acc level against merit mobs (while eatting meat) was worth more to me than the extra 4% crit. Now I did this because I had the mentality of only caring about my War and wanting to make it the best I could for endgame/merits. If I was leveling a lot of other melee jobs I probably would have gone with crit as it helps them all but for my situtation I felt that the acc/att gained from skill merits outwayed the crit.
Though this was with no math done so I could very well be wrong but I think if you are going to prioritize War go for GA skill and sprinkle in some abilities like Warrior's Charge and Tomahawk (which is actually very useful in certain situations) and then go for crit.

I worked on berserk+DA at the same time, keeping them up together. Was already at 20/20 combat merits before I had WAR75, and that's not changing either. If I had the room, I'd merit great axe first, since each merit in skill will give you your best return (followed by DA, then followed by crit probably).
