Average ws damageFollow

950's what I usually parse average in 2brd parties at birds. Haven't really parsed mamool much.

Single bard party at colibri & i just averaged 706 (Rampage) guessin' my ws gear needs reworking.


i'd asume Raging rush.

You can break 1.3k on birds with Raging Rush, assuming Double Attacks and crits.

Average around 7-800. lows of like 200(sh*t happens).

Soft cap on RR is about 2-2.2k.

Theoretically you can almost hit 2400 (not counting etudes or any other ridiculousness, just HQ equip). But I just wanted to show off. It's not very exciting to say "these are some of my highs but ppl can get 500 dmg higher". :P

What if the only time I'm on WAR, I'm doing an endgame zerg event, have 6 Soul Voice songs, Chaos roll w/DRK in party, Mighty Strikes, Warriors Charge, Dia III and Angon? Could I report that average? :P

Ok, so maybe I do have to redo my buffer every so often. And maybe I exagerated a little bit, as I do need to kill things along the way...

But the average in the first case is high!

given the actual content of the op, pretty trivial for this thread, but what inevitably happens is people who are unsure of themselves see these threads, think they should be averaging 1200-1700, and get depressed, and make gear threads about why they aren't seening these awesome numbers like others are seeing.

There is a line between where people are showing off (epeen shot thread) and where people are asking a valid question. And I get just as peeved at people claiming ridiculous WS averages in xp parties as I do about people expecting berk +1's and double bards in all of their pickups.

I don't have to parse to see that I average between 600 and 1000 on RR depending on buffs.

We have all had those god like Crit + DA Ws's. I have cracked 2k a couple of times on G.Colibri /nin, and ive cracked 1900 a few times on Mamool Ja's.

With that said; every holy crap Raging Rush I do, there is usually one that I hope no-one else saw. My 400 RR's usually comes after the double attack 1500 ones. This is probably what keeps us humble.

My average sits at about 600-900 on mamool and around 700-1k on Birds depending on party setup with the few extremely low ws's and the odd 1.4k or so. My gear is decent and 90% of the time I am /nin.

Every time I see someone with a bazaar comment saying how much damage they once did to Boreal Hound, I just want to give them a big hug.

And re: eyeballing, it's not that eyeballed damage doesn't have any validity...it's just that...it doesn't really mean much. It'd be cool if this could turn into a WS workshop-like thread where we could all post our gear and actual averages. Obviously if one's saying an "average" range and it covers a 400 point spread then it's not very precise. Besides, when one says "average", I think the mind's natural tendency is to go to the mode (most frequent) or median (# with an even number of WSes higher and lower).

Also, anyone here have separate WS setups for bergressor up/down? I toyed around with them a little before my old computer fried. Basically swap adaman celata for ohat, sniper ring instead of ruby ring...other than that I'd keep it much the same, just b/c then I start to lose too much "oomph", tho warwolf for life belt would be tempting too. I really do notice a hit in accuracy when bergressor's down.

Anyways, I didn't post my WS gear (full GA merits and 3/3/4 bergressor, oldskool baby)--overall pretty average, nearly complete but still "meh" in some respects. That might just be the boredom of the uniformity of WAR gear speaking tho.

Here's some actual data while we're at it--I would've sworn I was parsing over 1k average but I wasn't. (both these with double bard on g.colibri, food spammed like usual--1 stack of coeurl subs followed by 3 stacks of mithkabobs)

Skill low/avg/high: 296/925.8/1660, 85 WSes.
323/971.1/1728, 121 WSes.

That is because the average covers a 400 point spread depending on buffs

If you were to nail out the "Average Raging Rush of All Well Geared War's Throughout History" It would honestly be something mediocre like 500-600, just because of how incredibly random the WS is, and the variety of targets and buffs we use it on (For example, are we counting the lol150 damage Raging Rushes you do with just self buffs on Kirin?). It is very difficult to nail down averages when we have a self buff that can be off or on that can raise the damage to a significant degree. I don't NEED a parse to see that. I CAN eyeball a 300 damage increase based on what buffs are on or off at a given time.

My point was that in merit parties a well-geared war's average will range from 600-1000 depending on how many bards they have, how many merits they have, and 40 other variables. It just doesn't hold any value to nail it down better than that. Party/Killing Session scope is about where that value ends. Saying "I average this on X target with 1 bard doing min/mad" or "I average this on Z target with 2 bards doing min/min/mad/mad."

It's nice to see that you're still humble after outparsing an Ares WAR, although your gear is still pimp and the COR/RNG outparsing him is even better

We do have to merit one day (although I'll bring my gimp MNK or DRG, most likely) but I still do expect to be outparsed. Still, two decently-geared DDs with a nice support backline should do very well!

This is my average WS damage. I never do less or more than this. That's an average, right???

Seriously though, KJ was the first thing I ever did to give me this.
And this is the highest one ive done so far.

On Colibri, I usually Penta Thrust between 900-1300 and sometimes 1700/1800. Occasionally, I'll break 2k or more. The normal hits are considerably higher damage than with Great Axe though.
