Hello,
I gernerally go WAR/SAM to our Odin fights. I basically stand out of range and meditate for TP. Only ever getting close to do a WS or take some damage from the 10k needles move.
I would like to contribute more and as most of our damage to odin comes from our rangers, was wondering if I pile on racc gear, do you think I could hit him, at all? I know our skill is seriously low, but worth a shot maybe?

While you might not have the gear/merits to do quite as well as the person in that thread, chances are that it'll be more effective than trying to use E-ranked ranged skills.

The only way I could see you possibly hitting Odin on a semi-consistent basis is if you /rng, have an extreme rng acc set, and had perdu xbow, and meritted 5/5 Aggressive aim. I am probably exaggerating a littl ebit but there is an equal chance I am not.
Probably not gonna land any ranged attacks on odin as war.
Also war has D, not E. 10 skill difference is small but just sayin.

I tried this on Dark Ixion with capped marksmanship and tons of +AGI/racc gear (O.Hat, S.Kote, Relic Feet, Sushi etc.) and I could land maybe 1/20 hits. So I wouldn't get your hopes up lol.

Odin has pretty low evasion, it actually wouldnt be a bad idea to try and land land some status bolt xbow attacks.
edit: But like the previous poster I am saying this as a Rng.

We really are. Honestly, Odin is really bad as far as front line jobs are concerned. It's one of the few events I actively refuse to go as anything but Bard. All the AoE is just annoying.
