Hey, im a level 18 war and recently unlocked my subjob ability. I want to do the most damage possible. I have none of the unlockable jobs yet, so here is my question. What is the best subjob for DD given that I have only the jobs you start with? AND what is the best subjob for DD out of all the jobs in the game? Thanks.
PS - I have been lvling Mnk but i guess that is for Tanking? I dont know thats what i heard... /cry

What you need to do is level mnk to 18 and use that as sub for war until 37.
Then unlock ninja and level that to 37.
Then level war to 75 and kill stuff and sh*t.
Mnk is the BEST subjob for war until 30 no matter what jobs you have unlocked. And whether you want to DD or tank, you do it in the same way on war, because you WILL pull hate. Look at the guide to tanking war/mnk in the top page of this forum, it will help you out.

Like Mojo said, /MNK will serve you best throughout the lower to mid levels. Some people will ask you to /NIN the moment you hit 20 and/or 24 (Dual Wield and Utsusemi lvls, respectively) which is, to put it bluntly, fucking retarded, especially if you're using Gaxe. Higher levels, /NIN or /SAM start to pull ahead - /SAM with Gaxe and /NIN with axe/Gaxe. /DRG is also very viable with the latent effect SJ items, but for a first-job WAR, the cost is very prohibitive.

You get Counter, which let's you nullify an enemy's attack while taking no damage yourself, Boost for mini-Provoke-like hate (keep in mind, this resets your attack round delay, when most times you'll get more hate and damage by hitting the mob, but still nice to have), Max HP Boost at /MNK15, Dodge at /MNK15 also (WAR has pretty abysmal evasion skill, but every little bit helps, especially at lower levels).
Laugh as the NIN or /NIN tanks try to tank MNK mandy mobs with their petty shadows while you smack them in the face with your giant axe.

Damage mitigation is very important for any Damage Dealer. Lessens the burden on your party's mages, working out to higher EXP/Hour, if you get it just right.

I thought the ending was interesting. Very different from any other movie I have seen. My only beefs were the blue penis in every other scene and sitting two seats away from my mentally challenged brother for three hours.

srsly. If you are going to watchmen you expect to see a lot of male nudity, just accept it and try enjoy the film.
Pros:
1)A beauty to look at, with a modern feel given to classic style superhero comic outfits, that I felt really made the whole thing look better on screen then a direct translation would have.
2) Lovely juxtaposition (love being sesquipadalial) of origional artwork and storyboard, with familiar panels allover the place. Although I suppose that is typical of Sneider's(sp?) work...
3) A nice take on the storyline, with some appropriate omissions IMO and some changes that I wont ruin, but that I felt added to it.
Cons:
1) Actress of Laurie reminded me of Maggie Gillenhall. And I @#%^ing hate that woman. And she was appalling.
2) A wholly unbelievable Veidt, with an occasionally German accent, hideous face and clear failings in portraying the character.
3) Soundtrack.... Oh god the soundtrack.... 99 red balloons??? seriously??? and flight of the valkries for the vietnam scene? That was pathetic. And spoiled an awesome scene that was screaming for some dramatic, not clichéd music to suit the mood of the shooting...
4) Would have like more on some of the minor characters, but was happy enough and understand their needed omission.
In general:
Loved the dream scene between Dan and Laurie, thought that looked really good.
Loved the mars stuff, but not the way he so directly makes her remember, instead of coaxing it out of her. It's as if they thought "how can we lose 5 mins? We'll just have John able to zap her in the face with his magic juice teeheeeheee and she'll see time? Cool. We got this."
Thought the love scene was needlessly graphic. Not against that kind of thing really, but it was a bit grotesque, and it's quite a subtle thing in the comic, with the fire gag...
Thought it was as good an adaptation as the director could manage given cast, and wasn't blown away, but wasn't disappointed.
