Finally un-gimped myself - joined an abyssea exp party, downed +1 sushi and kept Aggressor on every chance I got, and hit 308 gaxe so I can Fell Cleave burn now. It was embarrassing having to admit I didn't have it yet... but I don't get much opportunity to play WAR outside of Abyssea.
In fact, I was so determined not to hit 90 before I unlocked it that I switched to merits at 89 and knocked out 13 before I switched back to exp.
I also put on Full Moon as my 2nd atma and used Rune Chopper full time for that party. That was a fun experiment.

After having the job sit in the 50s-60s for FAR too long, I finally decided to take up the gaxe once again and finish something I should have done a long long time ago. Got 75 yesterday, and 90 tonight. My gaxe skill lvl is still pretty gimp, but slowly closing in on Fell Cleave.
Managed quite a few 4-4.5k RR throughout the party despite a skill of < 250 So I guess that's an accomplishment to me anyways.
This is quickly gonna become my new favorite job

As far as I'm concerned the old school awesome that was FFXI was dead. A lot of the old regulars left with it. Myself included. It's been like 10 months since I've played. :3

First time posting in war forums, but within the past two weeks, I've gotten... war to 90, 5/5 af+1, a widowmaker, an atheling mantle, a ravager's orb, and twilight helm/mail. Just joined a new static that will be focusing on +2 af armor as well... Aside from that, I only need 5 more items to complete my TP set, woot.

Just got Warrior above lvl 65 with 200 axe skill. Tried out "Raging Rush" Boy what a rush indeed. Popped 2hr and got damage above 1000 pts. Soloed a colibri. Very fun!

Ravager's Earring. Was running through Grauberg, seen a JPN WHM and THF duoing Gamayun. Randomly asked did they need the earring, no response. No big deal since it was kind of a shot in the dark and I was just about out of time.
Right before I warped out got an invite and they gave me the earring. Very nice of them.

Do you stack this with Brutal? I picked one up too but I feel like I'm up to my ears in double-attack gear.

Finally used my WAR for something different from exping or skilling up, and the experience was... Oh, so satisfactory.
Tanked the pot NM in Abyss Grauberg as WAR/SAM, and loved going all out, smashing the thing with crits, retaliations, and really frequent WS.

Snagged me an adaberk the other day from a double dorp Odin, then immediately augmented it with STR +4, sTP +4, DA +1%.
Also augmented Byakko's with 3 AGI, sTP+4, crit damage +4% the same day. It's been a good week.

WS and Atma setup is:
Ravagers +2/Rancors (5,000 gil hate, so still about 25 kills to cap)/Brutal/Ravagers
Grim NQ/Heafoc/Rajas/Flame
Atheling/Breeze Belt/Ravagers +2/Ravagers +2
Any thoughts beyond the cap hate on Rancors, +1 Grim, and increase Strength on ear/rign slots?

Not a huge accomplishment compared to some of the others, but in the past weekish I have broken axe, gsword, polearm, and scythe wsnms and skilled all of them up to over 300. I'm loving mandies and retaliation!
I need to finish my TP & WS sets (and macros) so I can actually xp and not be embarrassed by my gear. It's way to easy hiding in -pdt gear while solo in Tahrongi, Attohwa, or Misareaux!
