Started playing again today.
Unlocked the "Die 3 times in 30 minutes" achievement.

Other than that I got off my **** and got Rank 6. Will soon
have to say farewell to my complacent AH days.

A buddy of mine did that, he came in from WoW. He rolled a thf and started off in Bastok, he then ran out to South Gustaberg and insisted he could level the same way he was used to in WoW. So he attacked as many bees and bats as he could and trained them in to a corner and thought he could just fight them all at once. He of course, died shorty after he gathered his mobs, or on the way to the corner he had chosen, homepointed, and ran back outside. He attempted this 6 times before he gave up and decided FFXI was broken and too hard.

There isn't much story to my tequila drinking, mostly because I don't remember enough of the night to tell the story. Lets just say that on several occasions, I have treated a bottle of tequila like it was a bottle of water after running for about 2 hours straight. On those occasions half-bottles of tequila magically disappear, and reappear in the toilet the next day.

Hilarity follows directly after though. For example one time I did it at a Buffett show. Chugged the bottle just before entering. I got into the show and at our seats in the lawn just before passing out, and waking up in the lawn with a giant empty circle around me where people had cleared out... soaked in my own vomit, shivering in 30 degree weather saying stupid ****. Those tickets were expensive.

Fun times. I won't hear the end of that one for quite a while.

rofl that sounds hilarious! wasted a good ticket drunk on the floor rooofl

A STORY FOR A STORY

Sounds like the first time i got drunk! I passed out and my friend was making weird noises at me, like ughhhhh, he said I responded back with the same noise, he chuckled like an idiot (I know my friends chuckle, it's very distinct) and he did it again, then I did it again but this time I ended with projectile vomit and he couldn't stop laughing! None of this I can remember at all, only thing I do remember is I passed out next to the foosball table and briefly woke up to vomit.

oh man, if only there was a drug for when you're feelin down. oh wait, there is! feeling awesome now!

I have a new job \o/

In very warrior-y fashion, I'll be working with disabled kids in a care centre.

I'm pretty stoked about it, but also bloody terrified lol. Never worked with disabled kids before. Gonna be quite a challenge.

just as long as you're aware of the dangers of being stoked!

i was pretty stoked last night playing beer baseball. like beer pong + flip cup but in the most awesome way ever. it was so fun but i hate my friend for convincing me to smoke up, I just CANNOT talk to randoms; im absolutely useless. alcohol helps but only when that' all i've had rofl. did not help when the hottest girl there was interested. this always happens to me rofl

Tested out 25% haste rune chopper build with proper refresh support, marchx2, and enough support for fulltime retaliation + hasso essentially.

Good lord.

There were just times where I was halfway back up to 100% TP before even finishing my WS animation. Kept solid hate over **** near fulltime. Shit is awesome.

First thing you'll learn about dynamis is not to pull hate on certain mobs.

MNKs will hand you your *** on any sub.
RNGs pretty much kill you dead with their 2h if you don't have Utsusemi. I still don't know if Third Eye can block it, but even then the reliability of third eye makes it completely unwise in the first place.
WARs, THFs, and PLDs can suck if you end up tanking them for a long period of time. WARs because mighty strikes can kill someone pretty **** fast, and THFs and PLDs will just stick around much longer than the average mob.

These are pretty much the most of your troubles. If you don't die from them, you have a good chance of living throughout a run without wipes. That is, of course, until you have to deal with the bullshit of dynamis-Xarcabard WSes. Then expect to either have the demons quadrastrike you when you are recasting on that one shadow, or spam Condemnation if you try to rely on third eye to cover multihit WSes.

The only fun you can have in Dynamis is to go balls to the wall damage and see who dies the most times. One run I managed to eat every single EES. Smiley: grin

I have more fun by staying alive :P Of course, dynamis is far more enjoyable when you're not taking 40+ into a zone, but just 18 or so.

And ya, Rune Chopper builds are fun :D

Finally capped all my warrior merits, yay for me. Would have been capped a while ago had I not changed my category1s and magic merits!

Welcome back :o

Achievements in the land of Dooom: I decided to quit my LS and move servers again! Fed up of doing events with less than 10 people, so going back to Phoenix to play with old friends, hopefully. Though my best friend quitted the game, so I now have a second account to play with. So far all I've done is PL myself doing FoVs, haha.

I was just looking back at my first posts and holy **** was I a noob! My first thread I started was on the brd forums asking about using brd/cor rather than brd/whm to combat my low galkan mp pool. Cripes! So I guess my latest and greatest accomplishment is realizing how far I have come from that nooblet 2 years ago :)

On a bad note: DC'd as we were warping up the the Floor 100 boss (we were low on time anyways) and they lost after getting it down to 20% hp (easily would have won had I been there to unleash 2 hour destruction).
