Ok if you reading this it means you want a second opinion on your Warriors Equipment. On the whole this is a "Good Warrior" Equipment guide it, most times, wont include that extra +1 for 100,000 gil more its reasonable and is here to keep you on track untill your AF. However is something that is retardedly expensive is on here I'm sure you can piece out on your own what to use instead.

I don't claim this is perfect and of course any input is welcome so we can try and prevent so many warriors with Lizard Armor in Yhoator :P

War cant use Royal Swordmans Blade.

This fell off the front page and I had to answer another equipment topic so.... bump :P

Everything I've ever heard about the Sarishi belt is that it doesn't have that much of an effect. I personally don't know since I've never used it so it may be better. As for the tilt belt I don't even know what that is :P Tried to find it on the site and nothing came up so typo?

I tried to stay away from +1 equipment except where its an expected piece of equipment. Honestly a lvl 7 +1 sword isn't that big of a deal to me since its such a low level and not the preffered weapon. This isn't meant to be a "Uber-Warrior" equipment list, I just wanted to answer a lot of the common questions and help people keep up-to-date performance without having to research it themselves.

I'd say at level 40 it's the best belt for 8 levels, until level 48 Life Belt. Swordbelt+1 is fine, but I'd much rather have +5 Accuracy than +13 Attack. Some other Warriors might agree, and it should at least be listed as an option ^^;

Sarashi isn't as noticible until you hit 50, when you have Dual Wield and Dual Wield II AND Sarashi, then you're definately going to notice a difference in swing time. Until then, it IS noticible, just not very much so. But its better than most other belts for DD as a WAR/NIN.

I put snipers on there since they are a fairly common high priced item and a viable upgrade for a DD WAR. Leaping boots and hairpin are on there since they are fairly common for /NIN that I've seen. Archers rings 200k at level 30 for +2 ACC... if you want them go ahead and get them but I'm not gonna reccomend it for most people.

EDIT: Melbolt pointed out in another thread that he farms these. On my server its a pretty heavy camp and its tends to spawn red a lot. If its different on your server have at it and kill yourself a Stroper Chyme... although TH2 is almost required from what I hear.

As for Breastplate vs RS Chainmail:
It might not be worth it to add one def and lose 1 dex, but I'll still reccomend it. On my server its cheaper than RS Chainmail and I really don't really think either is all that much better than the other.

As for Plate Leggings vs IM Sabatons:
+5 RNG ACC and +1 Def over the plate leggings. I know I usually pop off a Bow/Boomerange shot before I voke so I think its worth it.

As for this becoming a sticky:

Sarasashi belts on Titan server are bringing 300k ... they any cheaper on any of the others?

The drop rate is very low. It took my friend about 200 kills to get 2 archer's rings. Keep at it though :-P you'll eventually get it.

Thread seems to be geared (pardon the pun ;p) for level 1-40 >_> blasphemy i say! :P

Yes... I could but itd be pretty silly for me to guesstimate stuff that far above my level... but maybe I will add a few levels... of course with a full disclaimer for anything above 40... although I know some good 43 stuff :P

yellow mean to use it if you are subbing ninja green means to use when tanking and (DD) means to use it while not tanking nothing next to it and white color means to use it all the time.

Great post, however now that I'm level 45 and soon higher, I'm finding that there is a HUGE amount of equipment and frankly im getting kinda confused. could you post something for those of us to tide us over until we can get our AF sets?

As I leveled my warrior to 20 thus far (God, damn I hate Qufim...), I found Royal Spearman's Spear at level 18 to be quite sufficient, maybe you could add that to the list. ^^;;

Also, "Boomerang" is a level 14 item that WARs can use to get a jump start on throwing weapons to pull, as this list starts at 19. There may be some earlier ones, but I don't know any of them offhand. Hope this helps any.

edit: One other possible piece of advise I might offer. Some people new the game and/or the class, may not have the money to afford all the items listed here. Perhaps you could list some possibly alternative? San d'Orian equipment is a cheaper alternative to kingdom gear, for those lacking in funds, for instance. Level 25 RDM and still using San d'Orian gloves... :P

Beetle armor lowers Ice not Water. Only thing that might get ya is a Wights spikes :P

Remember, there's no hard evidence that 2 dex = 1 acc. If you re-read the SE interview frequently posted, you'll notice they do say 2 vit = 1 def and 2 str = 1 atk, but not 2 dex = 1 acc or 2 agi = 1 eva. They state that it's better to directly raise acc than via dex, so it's not a 1-to-1 relationship... and if it were 2-to-1 like vit/str, they would've just said that. So likely, it takes at -least- 3 dex to get a point of acc by your own stats... possibly more.

So yes, the bracelets are quite awesome... I like to swap them and a swordbelt+1 in while sneak-attacking, since it's a guaranteed critical hit, I'm adding 7 STR and 12 attack to the cause. Owch X) I don't leave them on though, -4 agi? Yikes...

Onward, some other equipment thoughts up to 70... A bit of this is easily attainable/cheap, some of it is kind of expensive, and a lot of it is expensive or difficult to obtain. Still, it's a sample of items you should keep an eye our for, in my opinion...

Waist:
Level 43 Swordbelt/Swordbelt+1, great DD until Life Belt
Level 58 Master Belt, a good option if you don't need as much acc as life belt, but swordbelt's 0 acc is too little.

Back:
Level 55 Federation Army Mantle, a great tank item, requires rank 6
Level 55 Royal Army Mantle, DD, requires rank 6
Level 60 Behemoth Mantle, tank

Body:
Level 60 Byrnie, awesome armor, huge boost to damage and doesn't gimp you as a tank like haubergeon does. You can even put Defender on and still hit hard.

Oh totally. I didn't even mean to imply that I think these are even close to the "best" options myself. I'm sort of playing the versaility role of WARs up and listing a number of items that seem to excel over the more banal items out there in one role or another. You could write pages on just the various useages of different items if you wanted. I just tried to play that "a lot of options out there" concept to the items that stand out.

It's kind of like how no one bothered to mention tortoise earrings (+3 atk, -3 eva), because they don't really have anything over other items available. Or who would bother with a Gold Cuirass? etc...

I can't find this Tilt Belt. I am WAR40/SAM20, and I wanna know what this is.

So i'm a level 19 war/9 monk. i know i haven't played that long but what is up with some of the suggestions to say to pick. is it geared to just average equip???

Cuz the lizard helm and bone mask have exactly the same def, except for the fact one is one level down. meaning you can get it earlier. this one i really don't understand at all. the bone mask goes for like 2000 gil while the lizard mask is like 500 on my server.

the shield. why get the the lantern shield when you can get the decurion shield in a few levels and it has much better def.

i thought you said stay away from lizard things. but you pick the lizard trousers over the bone subligar??

bone mittens over the fine gloves??

lizard ledelsons over the sandy boots (kingdom if you have teh money)???


i'm not critisizing i'm just asking why those selections. is it to save money or for levels??? some are better obviously and you will pay more, but why pay more for something that is just as good as another, like the lizard mask/bone mask???

i understand completely. i leveled to 21 last night and immediately upon getting back to town bought all beetle armor. it was pretty cheap, too. i guess that sometimes i justify the expense of some armor (when i have the gil) and others i say the def isn't worth the gil. it all comes down to gil.

i always make sure to have the latest gear. i don't need to take more damage than necessary and die. LOL. ;)
