- is it worth spending merits on the level II tier spells burst, quake, flood, etc.?

- I'm a elvaan; where should I spend my merits?

Thanks!

1) You can if you want, but I wouldn't bother until after you've capped off other things, since they're not exceptionally potent in comparison to other spells you'll get at that level range. Back when skillchaining and magic bursts were common practice, they were extremely useful then because of what additional merits into them did, but nowadays they're nothing spectacular since skillchaining, at least for now, is kind of dead.

2) Do you have any other jobs leveled, and if so what are they and how often are you on them? That'll determine in part what you may want to put merits into and how many.

Thanks for the reply Vlor. Thanks for the advice on the Burst II, Quake II, etc. spells. Since I haven't exactly been spamming Burst I, and then it looks like there are 3 levels of raising the level II spells. So, I'll wait to see how the game might morph.

My other jobs at 99: Brd, Bst, Pup, Thf, War. My time to play is chaotic and so I often solo. When in a party / alliance, probably Brd 40%, Bst 30%, Thf 30%.
