Do you guys use different gear outside of Abyssea? I did Dynamis last night with a friend and, even though my nukes in Aby hit for 2-6k, I was sometimes getting <1k nukes in Dynamis, even with Shell Dispeled. Granted, I didn't get the opportunity to use Obi/Tonban/Cape because it was Darksday, but this still seems subpar from what I remember pre-Aby. Also, I'm fully merited now. This makes no sense to me.
Gear I use for nukes can be seen on Guildwork. I use a mix of what AF3+1/+2 that I have and some other decent gear. Obviously, my gear can still improve. Not shown is Searing Cape, in place of Goetia Mantle. Also, I'm using AF3+2 legs.

Gear should be just about the same inside and out, the difference between MAB to INT ratio inside and out is pretty insignificant and won't push any one piece over another, or at least not by more than 10 damage. Maybe toss on a Sorc ring since 800-900 HP isn't as much of a liability against non-abyssea mobs, but I wouldn't change a thing.
Maybe you saw those low damage nukes on mobs with native MDB traits? (WHM for example)

I tried with and without Sorc Ring. I also played around a bit with INT/MAB gear. It just seemed weaker than I remember.
We fought PLD, DRK, and BSTs at least in Dyna-Xarc (Demons).

Were you using the wrong element against mobs? Ice won't get you far against Hydra lol. Also, demons have native 25% MDB plus job traits on top.

Perhaps the 25% MDB is it.
I changed things up when my friend pulled links, using Firaja, Fire 5, and Burst II sometimes. I did, however, put out a a good number of Blizzard 5s as I'm used to doing anymore.

Didn't they make the Dynamis mobs stronger? It's probably moot to compare old days numbers to today's numbers. Since you know that your stats are a lot higher than they were back in the 75 cap days, then they either changed the formula for nuke damage (which I don't think is the case) or the mobs stats have changed.
EDIT: Or you could be remembering wrong? I didn't do a lot of dynamis so I really don't remember what nukes used to hit for.
