I'm a fairly casual BLM, levelled it mostly to help out back in the days of Tiamat & Dragon's Aery. I find I'm playing it more and more now and would like some help from the experts here on what to equip in my hand armor slot (Or any slot for that matter).

Current Hand armor is:

Eradico Mitts
Wizard's Gloves
Teal hands

Other gear is:

Head: Goetia+1, Iqqira
Body: Teal, Sorcerers, Wizards,
Ear: Rani earring, Moldy, hMP ear
Rings: +9 total INT
Back: Shinryu cape, Ixion Cape, hMP cape
Waist: Rairin Obi, Penitents, hMP belt from Walk of Echoes
Legs: Teal, Iqqira
Feet: Goetia+1

For doing what? Simply for nukes, Goetia +1/+2 are your best bet. For Dark magic, Sorcerer's/+1. Enfeebling, Morrigan's, Teal, Oracle's (which is also HMP gear), Bricta's, Valkyrie's...

Offhand, in other slots, I'd assume you're working towards Goetia +1/+2 body.

Other than the obvious Enmity+, Searing Cape is desirable for the back. Goetia cape is easy to get as an option too.

You can get a better INT belt from the AH (Cognizant). Some nice neck options - Goetia of course, Feud Pendant (though it also has Enmity+).

Witchstone for ammo item as well, if you don't have one. Might look at upgrading a ring as well - if you're using an Omega for one, keep in mind that the MAcc is likely irrelevant at this point.

Sorry, it was for nukes. Thank you for the advice.

I am working toward the Goetia Body, but only at 5/10 seals for it at the moment.

0 hand seals - what would you recommend for that (I typically duobox a Thf & Rdm).

Not entirely sure as I usually just do things in an LS group - usually larger so we can ensure procs n' all, plus faster kill speed.

Offhand, Sharabha would likely be the simplest/easiest to do with dual box. Koghatu might be preferable if you don't have RDM hands yet, since it can drop seals for both, but might be a harder fight with your dualbox strategy due to the 3x TP move thing. Other strategies might work better for it though.

The quest in Xarc for BLM hands is very easy and very fast for seals. I was able to get my hands in one week end.

Yeah this guy isn't too bad, you just have to watch out for back to back -ja and TP moves. Duo'd with NIN/DNC and BLM/WHM. Start curing while Aeroja is still casting.

Has very slow movement so can be kited quite easily. You could probably solo it on BLM, i'm just not sure how long it would take.

I did THF/WHM 2 box for BLM hands from the pot and it was easy. My WHM 2nd box only has access to 5MP/tick refresh atma but I'd say generally I never ended with more than 500 MP missing a fight. I did use meds once because I was careless and left WHM in sleepga range.

Koghatu is easy to evasion tank. After he readies a tp move have the tank ran away to about 20ish range. Kog will attempt to do his 2nd and 3rd tp move, move away when he does and the moves will not go off. Once all 3 have been used run back in and continue. I'd recommend having your blm toss some cures, I believe one or both tp moves go through shadows.

Also he is weak to fire dmg, so stick to mainly fire nukes when not trying for grellow.
