I know I've seen some pretty awesome blm's sometimes doing flans and I know the Am2 isnt the most mp efficient but has anyone ever seen a blm kill a flan in 2 am2s? if so it seems like it would be pretty fun.
fun but not great for chaining since it's 574 mp total and a 1min recast on each

I don't know. I think puddings have around 4500-5000hp. That would be a pretty hefty AMII to be able to 2 shot. I'm not sure how efficient it would be, but I would totally throw around being able to 2 shot a pudding.

Doubt it would be possible solo due to the fact that you will need day/weather bonuses to get numbers high enough and they would only apply to one of your nukes.
However two optimally geared BLMs using the same AMII might stand a chance, give it a go next time you see ice weather at Mt. Z :D (Hell freezing over etc etc....)

without buffs from brd, cor, or smn, I don't even think 2 exceptionally geared blms could 2-shot a pudding.

Actually, it is possible on Iceday or Thundersday, and the gear it requires is nothing exceptional. But it has no practical value, it's horribly inefficient.

hmmm! you could prob do it jules with your new augmented weskit! i heard about that...
Its quite easy to have a 2-hit build honestly. You don't even need to have a full Morrigans or something. Just eat a Cream Puff or a Melon Pie +1 and use a basic mixed nuke set. You'll need to have a few key parts though: Novio and Sorcerer's Ring being the most important.
I'd guess something close to about INT+50 and MAB Index of 1.66 would be enough to muster a 2-hit combo. Its much easier with day bonus and you could probably do it with a slightly lesser set if you had those bonuses. You need to just macro your Sorc ring after burning it, first spell Burst II, then with the second one use Freeze II and kick the Uggalepih into effect. The second AM should take you down far enough to trigger. That should be enough to 2-shot any of the puddings at the Zhayolm camp. Anything on top of that, you can take a little away from the gear quality, etc etc.

If you really wanted to, you could AM2 in all your latent gear (Ugly included) say Burst on Lightningsday and get an Obi activation, sleep II the mob, med back 350MP and do it again. That's technically a two hit build, and you'd get the weather activation twice.

No, only the universal magic nerf. I alternate because of the ridiculous recast timers we deal with even though we don't do enough damage to make up for it.

Well, on iceday with earth weather, using the approprate obis and pants, my Freeze II and Quake II (both in ugly latent) took a pudding to 5%. But I don't have any morrigans or a sorc ring, and I'm short a couple points of INT in other slots. Just the sorc. ring alone might do it (I'd have to actually do the math to find out), and a spirit lantern would make it trivial.

The biggest key parts are Sorc Ring and Uggy Pendant (as previously stated). That probably will push you into the "2-hit" build. Now granted I have full Morrigans and such, I just tested that it can be done in a partial setup. I'm also convinced you could pull this off with just a basic augmented INT+ weskit.
Versatility is good, but being badass is better.

I've gotten flans to 2-3% w/ Thundaga3 > Burst2 on lightning day w/ obi/relic pants/sorc ring and etc. I don't have Novio earring or I could 2 shot. 2 AM2's tho idk it'd be tough. But ya its incredibly inefficient but fun.
